🎚 🎛 Technofriday - The Hacker [DE/EN]
Guten Morgen die Herrschaften, heute ist #technofriday! Danke an @uwelang der diesen Hochheiligen Feiertag mit mir initiierte.
Ehrlich gesagt bin ich mir gar nicht so sicher welchen Künstler ich euch heute präsentieren möchte. Mal etwas gutes von heute oder weiterhin den alten Meistern huldigen? Aber fürs erste bleiben wir bei den alten. Ihr könnt ja in den Kommentaren mal schreiben auf was ihr nächste Woche lust habt.
Heute gibts mal was französisches ... und zwar The Hacker! Schon mit 17 Jahren begann Michel Amato elektronische Musik zu produzieren. Inspiriert von der französischen New Wave Szene und Künstlern wie DAF und Cabaret Voltaire entwickelte er seinen eigenen äußerst prägnanten Stil.
Mit seiner Freundin Caroline Hervé (Miss Kittin) veröffentlichte er diverse Tracks auf International DeeJay Gigolos (dem Label von DJ Hell) welche die beiden weltberühmt machten.
Neben seinen eigenen Veröffentlichungen ist The Hacker auch als Remixer sehr erfolgreich.

To be honest, I'm not so sure which artist I want to present to you today. Do you want to read something about artists from today or to pay homage to the old masters? But for now, we'll stick to the old ones. You can write in the comments about what you want to read next week.
Today we have something french... and that's The Hacker! Michel Amato began producing electronic music at the age of 17. Inspired by the French New Wave scene and artists such as DAF and Cabaret Voltaire, he developed his own extremely distinct style.
With his girlfriend Caroline Hervé (Miss Kittin) he released several tracks on International DeeJay Gigolos (the label of DJ Hell) which made them world famous.
Besides his own releases, The Hacker is also very successful as a remixer.

Och, hart ist ja relativ! Aber ist auf jeden Fall ein grandioser Künstler mit nem Haufen guter Tracks! 😉
I could likely write for a day about how The Hacker alongside Miss Kittin was responsible for turning me from a trance lover into the cynical techno fan I am today. Now you got me listening to this old gem that I used to hammer in my younger days. It's over the top but I dig it.
As for new artists vs old, I always find a mixture is best. Rep the old school to highlight history in and pay homage. Rep the new to prove you aren't jaded and hanging onto the past. It's all about a mix.

Thanks. The whole electro clash era was huge for my music education and I always liked how The Hacker was a gateway to some less accessible artists.
educational post - I didn't know that they are a couple and I completely forget about a track "1982" :)
