World's Daily Food Photo Contest - Sunday Anything Goes - Suman Latik
Sundays are the good days. Because you can post anything not mentioned during the other days of the week. What I am sharing is a native favorite. We call it suman in Iloilo. I know other places have different names.
This is suman with latik. I love the latix which is coconut milk boiled till the oil comes the there are the dried milky part (I don't really know how to describe) Suman is glutinous rice also cooked in coconut milk and using the muscovado or the unrefined brown sugar.. Then the latik is sprinkled on top.
Here it is displayed on the side table along with the other native snacks which I will share soon.
