BECOME A PERSON OF INTEGRITY

Just wanted to know, Have you heard of integrity?, Do you know what it means and are you a person of integrity?

Honesty, Truthfulness and Adherence to a Strong Moral Principle are the major three words in being called a person of integrity. If we should do a call out of people with integrity, and you lack any of this three, Just forget about integrity as part of your attributes.

I have seen a lot of person's that are decent, goes to Mosque as at when due, never miss Church on Sundays, are respected within the society, have qualifications and are high class individuals but don't have that simple thing called INTEGRITY.

It's simple to me because I have been a person of integrity since my Childhood, I adhere to a strong moral principle set aside for myself, I try my possible best to be honest, nobody is completely truthful, even if it's to safe a good thing from going wrong, we've all lied one way or the other.

How is your Integrity like?

Entrusted with a huge amount of money, you took some, and you denied? You lied just to get what doesn't belong to you, Engaged in some act of immorality all in the name of getting something you needed and there's no way out?

Well, I have found myself in all of the above mentioned situations while growing up and i never did any of it. Life throw challenges at every stages of our life but it takes courage to fight this challenges.

Apparently, all of this things are frustrating and can make one go through the wrong path which affects your being a person of integrity. Yes!!!, you go to church and you don't steal neither do you fornicate but don't be surprised that those little things you see as nothing are something when it comes to being truthful and honest.

How can you become a person of high integrity?

Becoming a person of high integrity is difficult, Some guys I know don't even see integrity as anything as they feel they can do anything, so long they are not stealing(stealing is another thing on its own), there are somethings that may not be a direct stealing but at the end of the day, when evaluated, they are not in anyway different from stealing, Same as some ladies, they mix up integrity and decency (A story for another time).

The below listed will help you become a person of integrity:

• Self Discipline - Lack of self discipline is one of the major problem this generation battle with, when people do anything indiscipline and you ask them, you get replies like, I didn't know how it happened, It's the work of the devil when they know truly well that, they allowed it to happen. Some will say I have tried my possible best to stay away from it but it keeps coming, But believe me 100% that It doesn't keep coming, It's your mindset that hasn't change and you aren't determined enough to let it away. Self Discipline is a major thing and no matter all other things you want plan to do in the process of becoming a person of integrity, it still falls back to Self Discipline. Only self Discipline can help you achieve all.

• Adherence To Your Set Principle - I have tried my best to be honest, truthful and always do what is right but I still keep going back to the bad habits, just set a strong principle for yourself, be self determined, and I bet you, you definitely gonna achieve it even without a counselor.

• Proper Usage of Your Time: Don't be surprised that being able to manage your time may be a little bit different from Proper Usage of your time, the habits you are striving to let go, may have a space within the time you claim to manage. Managing your time is achieving all your set goals within a specified period of time while Proper Usage is making sure you are doing the right thing within the specified time.
  If you are the online type, make sure you mingle with the right set of people, people that add values to you, they are a lot of educating groups online, even on facebook, twitter and whatsapp, where you can learn and add values to yourself as a person, the set of people you mingle with is one of those factors that can affect your life, because friends are very strong and powerful influence-rs.

If you wanna change a person or make a person change, just tell his/her friends and you get the job done perfectly.

In conclusion,

We should try as much as possible to monitor how we spend our time and the kind of people we spend the time with.

In this present generation, almost everybody do online but if you are the offline type of person, you can also find something doing to avoid being tempted into wrong acts that may lead to lies and dishonesty, you can read novels, sing, play games, read your Qur'an or Bible to keep yourself busy and thinking the right way.

By doing this, you are widening your thinking and your knowledge increases and at the same time fighting indiscipline and dishonesty.

To be a Success, you have to be Self-Disciplined, No successful person of today lacks Self Discipline if you see any, then the Success is like a Flashlight. You definitely know what happens to such persons.
