Congressman wants to ban crypto?

So I found out yesterday that some congressman dude named Brad Sherman wants to ban cryptocurrency.
He is apparently worried that crypto will threaten the US dollar being the "standard unit" of currency in the world.

He is worried about losing power. Lolololol....
He also claims that the #1 purpose of crypto is to take away their power and threaten the rule of law.

I disagree..
I think each crypto coin founder has different goals.

I can't speak for others though I would say that I think the main goal is just to sort of evolve and have a more secure, more effecient and more reliable form of money.
The National governments and bank monopolies losing their power is more just a side effect and a bonus. :D

Myself and many others predicted this would come a long time ago, and I HIGHLY doubt they will be able to do anything significant in respect to trying to ban it.

You can't really ban crypto, people will find ways to trade it. If anything this will likely just make the value of crypto go up even higher by trying to put it in some sort of black market.

They sure are scared though aren't they? At least it seems that way based on this! (And other reasons as well)
Ohhh nooooesss.. You finally have some competition for your monopoly on currency! God forbid people actually try to come up with something better!

Good luck banning crypto! Pandora's box has been opened.

      Trying to ban crypto seems like a losing battle to me. I personally think its here to stay. I also agree that crypto probably wont replace fiat currency. I think it has a different purpose. If nothing else it's simply another asset class to invest in.
