3 Most Cliché Topics Almost Everyone Writes About

Clichés. They are just so annoying sometimes, aren't they? It's like everywhere you go, you will find something which has been said or written at least a million times already. It makes you wonder, where are all the original content creators?

Writing surely is a form of art and a remarkable way of self-expression, but the thing about art is that it loses it's value if its ideas are overused. Stepping into the world of blogging, the first thing you will notice is the load of clichés that are followed here.

It seems like almost everyone writes about the exact same things and in the exact same manner. It honestly just gets boring after a few reads. While on the other hand, some people are just somehow able to produce daily quality content almost effortlessly.

I understand that for newbies following these clichés is important because if they write unique content with all their efforts and still don't get any appreciation for it, they can get demotivated rather quickly and leave the platform without discovering their true potential. Nonetheless, these clichés are just so damn annoying that sometimes you can't help but show your disgust for them.

Success

I get it. Success is all glorious and wonderful and all that shit. But honestly, it's been written about so many times now that it just simply doesn't grab the readers' attention anymore. Maybe other newbies, but that's about it.

Unless you are a successful person yourself, writing about it isn't really recommended unless you have something extraordinary to say which might force people to stop what they are doing and think about what you wrote.

Don't get me wrong though, there's nothing wrong about sharing what success means to you personally and how you achieved it in your life. But what readers want to read is something that will make them wonder and add value to their reading time.

Happiness

We all want to be happy, that's true. But what I hate is when that's literally all what people write about. Happiness comes differently for different people, and in different environments. It's not limited to only one person's suggestions.

You can't just read a blog about happiness, follow what's written, and be happy forever. That's not how it works. While some things are almost guaranteed to bring happiness like food or love, most of the other factors depend highly on each individual person and their preferences.

Now that's obviously forgivable if you write about something that many people did not previously know of or many people believed to be true when in reality is just a myth. Again, it all depends if your content is adding value to the readers' time.

Facts

This is something that I'm personally guilty of doing when I first started out about a month ago. But as I said earlier, even if it's annoying or boring, it's still necessary for the beginners so that they can slowly adapt to the new environment.

We all start with crap (well, most of us anyways) and eventually when we get comfortable with the workings of the platform, we start to produce authentic and naturally well-written original content. That's just the way it works.

You can't just start writing amazing content right from the beginning. I mean you could, technically, but it's likely to not get much attention which might make you unwilling to want to continue. So it's better to start it slow and gain a decent following first.

Haha. I agree, 100%. I keep trying not to post about Success, Happiness, and Facts. I think to share meaningful story is much much more relevant for a community like Steemit.

Exactly! You can't attract a crowd if your content is not unique.

so true and the more people talk about it, the more boring i find it...

Relatable haha

Writing can either be the easiest of tasks or the hardest, depending on which end of the lens we are viewing from. True, it seems with a plethora of writers on Steemit something that is thought by one, may also be thought by many. LOL!

My personal take is, to take this as a platform of self expression, be it of creative kind, or of more educational, contemplative or narrative. Why even define ourselves through what is merely words.

Cheers!

True indeed. People read from those who are genuine with themselves and others. Following typical topics might be a safer route, but it doesn't offer much growth.
