Engravings on the Trail to Turiya

I.

I stand
facing the rough-chopped ocean
at my keyboard
playing an old soul song
whose words I can't remember.

Crest and trough, crest and trough—
forevermore.

II.

What is audience
but the reflection
of vulnerability?

Water falls
into the keys.

III.

I cannot see
over the edge
of this violent snow crevice
in which I am anchored
by twisted skis,
fallen.

Yet I know—that unknown
means death,
precipitous with finality.

I think it's like you're expecting the end of something you're not sure if it would come or not

Good morning @d-pend!! Now I finally understand your dream sequence you are waking up. Even in your ajativada state keep walking forward and break through the ice.

Wishing you all the best on your journey (and a steadier skiing stance!)

May your practice bring you that step closer to spiritual fulfilment, as I'm sure it has done for many of us.

Took my time to glance over it. Each time i arrive at different interpretations. But this poem evinces a deep metaphysical connection.

I stand
facing the rough-chopped ocean
at my keyboard
playing an old soul song
whose words I can't remember.

Crest and trough, crest and trough—
forevermore.

A truly masterful use of imagery. Metaphor at its finest:)

enough of the melancholy remember what is important!

It's not really melancholy, actually. I did have a fourth short poem to compensate for the fact that the third ends - depending on interpretation - a bit forlorn. But it wasn't very good, and what you see here is the meat of the matter - dreams I had :-)

yeah but you last few pieces have had me feeling gravity and my face is starting to sag :P Rejoice we live in the world of PIE ...

Fair enough! Thank you Tyger :-D

YW now FEED ME! :D

p.s dreams can bring us to some really odd places be it emotionally and figuratively have been having some weird ones myself of late ...

What is the audience?
but the reflection
of vulnerability?

This reminds me that: "We are all heroes in search of help".
