I’m Still Thinking Of A Title For This One
I’m really hung up on the first sentence, this one right here, it’s visible with the cover image. The one you just read. It’s a pretty powerful sentence in my opinion, which, by the way, means the world to me and me only. Opinions are great aren’t they?
Just a couple of days ago, my buddy Ed told me:
It’s so funny to read you current of thought, the way things flow in no particular order.
Have you ever seen a compliment cooler than that?! Thanks, Ed! He’s talking about a one on one conversation we were having, I think, not one of my posts, I hope! I don’t think it would be such a compliment if he was referring to one of my posts unless, of course, it was intentional — like this one! 😉 And then in another conversation we were having, he told me this:
Wait! You understand what I mean by “another conversation we were having,” right? I mean we were talking back and forth on multiple pages. Which proves one thing: This guy has a mean set of thumbs. Should I work on a cover image right now or tell you the other thing he told me in another conversation? I still haven’t thought of a title for this post, maybe I should just leave it blank and go with a blank cover image too. Or something like “I can’t think of a title still.” How’s this? Whatever title this post has by the time it makes it to you, that’s the one I went with. Anyway, on another page, he said:
...once again your mind connects some dots on its own, jumping from one event to the next :)
I thought... Oh!! I got it! Watch this #steemit. That’s not what I thought, that’s what I’m telling you. I’m about to put my thought, the thing I was just about to tell you, on the cover image. Hold, please! I know you don’t really have to hold when I say hold. What I mean by that is, I’m going to work on something else (in this case a cover image) and I won’t be typing anything until I’m done. I’ll let you know how long it took me when I get back. As I was saying, “I thought...”
Compliments, that is. 17 minutes to put together that cover image, not bad, I was shooting for 13, I’ll try harder next time. I don’t think 17 minutes to find an image at Pexels and then edit it in Photoshop is that bad. I’d like to say I deserve all of the credit but Photoshop is the one who made that image possible. ‘Thank you, Pexels and thank you, too, Photoshop. Without you both, I wouldn’t have a cover image which means I would have zero to thank you for.’ I would just learn how to use another app and make a cover image somewhere else so, now that I think about it, 🤔 you know what Photoshop? I think maybe you’re the one who should be doing the thanking. “You’re welcome. You’re welcome.” Because you thanked me once for using your app and then again for announcing it. “You’re welcome!” I just wanted to see if you’d do it a third time. Is it time for another image yet?
Nah, let’s do another paragraph of connecting the dots, the way things flow from one event to the next. See how I did that? I combined both of those amazing compliments into one and erased the smiley face. Now about that image, this one isn’t near as challenging as the cover image, in my opinion. Oh ya! Way back in the first paragraph when I said “opinions are great aren’t they?” Had I said ‘opinions are everywhere’ instead of ‘great’ would I still have your:
I’m assuming that says attention. I can’t read the rest of it so if it says anything negative, try not to hold me responsible. It’s just an opinion anyway. I’m confident Pexels wouldn’t do that to me though.
I had more fun with this one than I expected, I love it when that happens — thanks for sticking it out all the way to the end with me! But I’ve always had a difficult time getting feedback on a Saturday. Maybe this one will be different. I guess there’s only one way to find out.
I see this as a stream of consciousness. Doesn't that sound so cool?! It's like a continuous flow of your thoughts and reactions to them, without stopping. Kinda like how your awesome brain works, I think. Squirrel!
I used to do this with my students a lot, and we sometimes ended up with some really great writing.

I’m not sure if I should admit this or not but I’m learning about more and more people like you who do this with their students, same with Pura Vida, calling it things like ‘free writing.’ I think I’m witnessing the long term effects of too much chess and not
enoughany language arts. No, really.I don’t even mind that you put “I think,” cuz I know it was just a cordial “I think,” anyway. 😉 I got nothin I can type to express how much I appreciate that except for what I just typed.
Ed is a unique dude, I’ve been a fan of his for awhile, probably not as long as you. His music is so cool! My favorite style of his is when it’s just him and a mic, maybe a couple of keys here and there. Did you see the teaser for his new album at the bottom of this page? And look at all of the responses the guy gets these days.. he’s frikkin famous! Congratulations, Ed, I know you’re here. 👍🏿 But one on one conversations with him are my favorite part. He’s always challenging me. Always, as in, at least once a week I bet.

I followed your whole process. Didnt get spun around one bit. Well after reading it twice I came to the conclusion that your focus on the task at hand is great. Compared to me, I’m all over the board.
