I have been thinking a lot about time and death today. How precious life is... What can I say, it's just that kind of day. You wanna know what I have come to realize?

You don't waste time. Time is infinite.

You Waste Yourself, You are finite. It is you that grows old and dies. Time doesn't.

So make better use of it. One of the worst things to do with time is to compare yourself to others.

What happens when a cow eats grass? It gets fat. What if a dog eats the same grass? It would most likely die.

Point is, never compare yourself to others. Run your own race on your own terms. I know it has probably been said so many times before but truly comparison has been the death of so many dreams and potential and it's most likely we all suffer from this awful predicament at one point in our lives. What works for one person maybe that which will kill you, how sad would that be? Focus on your God given gifts and talents and don't be envious of the blessings He gave to others.

I recently read somewhere;

Both Lion & Shard are professional hunters, BUT, A Lion cannot hunt in the ocean and a Shark cannot hunt in the Jungle. Just because a lion can't hunt in the ocean doesn't make him useless and vice versa. Both have their own territory where they do exceedingly well.

How profound is that?

In another instance, think of roses and tomatoes...

Just because a rose smells better than tomatoes, it doesn't mean roses can make better stew.

All this to say, Stop Comparing Yourself to others. You also have your own strength, look for it and build on it. Never look down on yourself, keep looking up. Remember that broken crayons still color. Keep on Pushing, you never can tell how close you are to your goals.
