List Of My Favourite Poets

Poetry is an art, an expression, an ocean of emotions, a perfect blend of reality and imagination. Poets come and go but their intricately woven words remain. They break and heal million of hearts. They inspire and live beyond infinity.

Here's my list of Top 3 Poets whose works never cease to amaze me:

• W.B. Yeats- William Butler Yeats was one of the most romantic poets of his time. He was Irish. Most of his poems are dedicated to his lover Maud Gonne, who never reciprocated his love. He was a symbolist poet and was awarded Nobel Peace Prize in Literature in 1923.
  When You Are Old is a poetic example of his love for Maud.
  The Second Coming is one of his best works and has a mystical touch to it.

• Robert Frost- He is considered as one of the greatest poets of America. His works are quite realistic. His poems are deep and will leave one thinking for hours. On July 22,1961 he became poet laureate of Vermont. He was also nominated for Nobel Prize in Literature 31 times.

The Road Not Taken is one of the best poem I have read do far. It expresses the dilemma of human brain perfectly.

His poem Fire And Ice is known to be his best works. It's short yet effective.

• William Wordsworth- He was a major English romantic poet.He is also known as the nature poet of English literature. He was Britain's poet laureate from 1843.

Daffodils is one of his major works. It shows the poet's keen observation of nature and his love towards it reflects in the poem. The imagery used in the poem is mesmerizing.
My Heart Leaps Up is another great masterpiece by Wordsworth. Whose one line became a famous quote.
"The Child is the father of the man".
