Writers Needed for Steemfiction writers group!
Hi Writers! We're a group of writers on Steem @steemfiction who self-publish quarterly short story anthologies. We've previously published Voices in the Darkness and Dead Silence.
Now we're looking to add to our stable of writers. We vote on a topic/genre for each anthology and then we all write stories based on that topic/genre.
Writers must be committed to publishing on a quarterly schedule and also to reading and providing feedback to the other writers.

Certainly interested in this! What's the typical length of a story that you're looking for, and what kind of a writing sample would you like? :)
Cool! We usually shoot for around a 5,000 word count -- if you want to go over, that's okay too. 10K is the upper limit. Just shoot me anything you have that's in the fiction realm--I already know you are a great non-fiction writer. You can shoot it to me by DM at the Steem movies Discord if you want, or post a link here if you don't mind. We also have a Discord account where we coordinate our efforts.
The bad news is that 1st week of November is our latest deadline for a first draft. The theme is winter holiday: Christmas/Hanukkah/winter solstice/New Year's. Can be any genre, as long as it has a winter holiday theme. I did a Christmas ghost story.

I was about to ask a barrage of questions all of which are answered in your reply to modernzorker.
I can only direct you to my blog as anything longer is in a potential book that is still in the pipeline. Most of my posts are around 1200 words but writing longer will not be a problem. Many of them are fiction.
I live in South Africa so when you say winter holiday and mention Christmas that is blazing heat and sea and sand for me.
Can I write about winter holidays in which I have been on safari - Namibia, Zimbabwe and so forth or do you specifically want Christmas time?
The due date is manageable.

No it just has to be a traditional winter holiday from a northern hemisphere perspective-- Christmas, winter solstice, Hanukkah etc. Christmas in blazing heat is fine.
