Adapt The Habit Of Appreciation

in #writing6 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone I briefly want to share with you a course title "Appreciation"

source

Appreciation is simply the act of showing gratitude, or being grateful to someone or something. Appreciation really goes a long way when it's been done. You might not know the significance of appreciating someone or something until get appreciated sone day. Appreciation brings joy to an individual. You're simply give that individual the expression that he or she had done something good/valueable to you.

REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD LEARN TO APPRECIATE OTHERS

  • IT HELPS TO BUILD THE INDIVIDUAL SELF-ESTEEM: This will give the individual that you're appreciating an expression that he/she is worth something.

Do you still remember how it felt like to receive an ovation? Maybe during your graduation or when you received an award. Do you remember how good it felt?

Same applies here. You makes the individual feel everything he/she worked for all worth it right. Also you give the the individual the assurance that he/she has done a great job. It’s could be a simple gesture or saying some few words of appreciation, but yet the fulfillment it brings is inexplicable.

  • IT MOTIVATES THE INDIVIDUAL TO DO BETTER: There are a lot of ways to motivate people. Apart from the benefits, most individuals I know, including myself, consider appreciation as one of the reasons to remain and improve in what I do.

I as an individual, I’ve always made it a habit to show appreciation towards people around whenever I get the chance. A simple "Thank you", either spoken or written goes a long way.

People need to know that their efforts are appreciated and that they are making big contributions to your goals. Sotherefore help them achieve that by appreciating then whenever they help you. By so doing, they will be stirred up to do more.

  • IT SHOWS THE INDIVIDUAL THAT YOU CARE: Showing appreciation to someone/something is simply a way to shows that you care. I always see to it that I appreciate anyone who has assisted me in one way or the other. I think most of us have don't really see the potential of appreciating others.
As an individual, you have to bear in mind that these are “people” you’re dealing with and not objects. They have feelings and they need to be taken care of. So therefore appreciate them so that they can know you care. That's why I appreciate the value of regular coaching and corrections I get daily.

  • IT MAKES THE INDIVIDUAL HAPPY: If you haven't found the other reasons acceptable. I believe this should be. Perhaps this simplest reasons to appreciate someone. Appreciate an individual just to bring a smile upon his/her face. Just make an individual happy by appreciating them. Appreciation brings a breath of positivity especially when it’s given with utmost sincerity. Compliment people when you can and be generous in giving it to them.

Tell the waiter who took care of your orders how awesome his service was.
Leave a note for your spouse telling them how grateful you are to be with them.

As trivial it might sound, those little appreciation or perhaps complement means a lot.

  • IT MAKES PEOPLE APPRECIATE YOU MORE: What I mean here is that people will appreciate you more for appreciating them. Yh! have experience it before. I was appreciated for been appreciative. It makes it a lot easier for people to show their appreciation/gratitude towards you if they have once appreciated them before. People reciprocate similar feelings towards one another.

If you show respect, people respect you back. If you show kindness, you get kindness back.

People withhold appreciation either because they’re scared of you or because they don’t feel appreciated. All you need to do is break that barrier by recognizing other people’s good work.

Have you been showing appreciation towards others? If not, start doing so for now henceforth?

Quotes:

"A grateful mind is a great mind, which actually attracts itself great things."

Also

"Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in you life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life."

In conclusion, learn to appreciate someone/sonething so you can get more.
