Power is never given, only taken!

The power of nature pulsed through his veins.

Combining his magic with Sharee, Nathan unleashed his devastating spell. The roots and plants rapidly grew and fracturing the rock, the intensified spell easily bringing down the main keep wall.

He couldn't see clearly through all the dust and the screams were deafening as hundreds of soldiers fell to their deaths, many others also sustaining injury as the wall crumbled then further collapsed uncontrollably from the middle.

The spell had weakened him immensely, he stumbled and fell to his knee's and as the screams faded, the noise was replaced by the cheers of the attacking force.

A number of rebels ran forward scrambling over the rocks and bodies, pushing the attack and bridging the walls by charging up the ramp of debris and downed enemy troops.

Then he sensed it, the true power of the Lord of the keep - it was Marianna!

Two large walls of flames burst into life either side of the breach and like two huge fiery hands clapping, the flames rushed towards each other enveloping the attackers, wounded and dead defenders alike.  The screams were loud but brief, the flames and noise replaced by smoldering corpses and charred rock.

Within a few moments the smoke dissipated and only the smell of burning human flesh lingered in the wind, the battlefield fell silent.

Marianna stepped forward and into view, she stepped out at the top of the breach and began her decent, confidentially walking down the makeshift ramp of burned corpses and rubble.

She wore black leather boots, her legs were long, her skin exposed, she wore unusual Armour..her long brown hair gently blew in the wind, she appeared a fiery goddess no doubt-ably, admired, worshiped and feared.

As she moved her troops quickly evaded and gave space, some taking to their knee in respect, others retreating behind what remained of their protective Stone walls.

She appeared both wicked and beautiful, walking confidentially her eyes locked on Nathan, she crushed the bones of the fallen beneath her boots.

Nathan sensed her great power, he knew she was more powerful then any other fire mage he had faced...Burning her own people along with his, she had already demonstrated the cruelty he had heard so much about.

There was no way he could win this battle without Sharee, and Valar would not be ready for this ...he was on his own.

"I claim leadership by right of combat!'' bellowed Nathan, his voice deep and loud carrying across the battlefield by magic and aid of the wind.

I apologize for the poor grammar and lack of mastery of the English language. This is an unedited/uncensored Fantasy novel which has been written from my imagination exclusively for Steemians! The story continues on request of my friend and fellow mallsballer @minismallholding and lets not forget @ryivhnn a great teamaussie who has angry attack upgoats hehe

Sort:

Oh bother, it's been too long and I've no idea who Marianna is!

Gosh if my number one fan is out of the loop, my story telling is doomed..haha. Perhaps best to let sleeping dogs lie..

Tip: part 44 it was written “To the North East of us is our closest neighbor the city of Krodos. The ruling lord is Marianna, a powerful wizard and her loyal troops are estimated at least 2000 strong.”
