When was the last time you learned to read? Maybe your answer is when sitting in kindergarten or elementary school bench. After that, we feel already able to read so no need to learn anymore.

We have to read the whole book. When looking at a book with a new topic, we feel we should read the book from beginning to end to understand it. And actually not. As long as you read the important parts, that's enough to absorb the information in the book.
We have to remember everything we read. Education in school requires us to recall word-by-word books. A number of terms, names, dates, and events fill our brains. Yet the most important is the understanding of the topics we read.
We should not read during business hours. Reading is identical to home study, while in school it is time to listen to the teacher. This does not apply in the world of work. Reading relevant material can inspire you, new business strategies, and provide insight into market conditions.
