Little Story for Today - The Vulture and Little Girl
The vulture at the background of this image is waiting for a starving Sudanese girl to die. The picture was taken by Kevin Carter who later won a prize for this picture, sadly he lived just few months, he did not enjoy his supposed hard work because he later got depressed and committed suicide.
He was actually popular globally as the media celebrated his achievement world wide.
His depression started when during one of such interviews (phone in program) someone phoned on and asked him what happened to the child. He replied, "I didn't wait to find out after this shot as I had a plane to catch."...
And the person replied,
"I put it to you that there were two vultures on that day. One had a camera".
That statement daily ring a bell in his mind and that led to depression and his ultimate suicide.
In whatsoever we do, let put humanity first before fame or achievement.
Kevin Carter, his fame for hard work could have lived long if he just dust that little girl and taken her to the UN feeding Center where she was trying to reach.
LESSON
Many people today at the scene of accident will ignore the victims and start taking picture and uploading it on social media, the time they waste in doing this could have been used to save a life.
