Time to Lighten Up!

I have a tendency to write long, heartfelt articles. This is in fact why I chose the name @wholeself-in - if I'm going to do something, I fully immerse myself in it, or I don't do it at all.

That can lead to some serious procrastination, or lapses in engagement, especially when changes (in my life, my work, blockchain functions, whatever) give me reason to step back and reconfigure how to orient myself.

But Steemit is different! It's neither a blog nor a casual social media. Steemit itself does not even know what it is - what a beautiful place!

I mean that sincerely, as I mean nearly everything I say (and definitely everything I write.) Beauty in my eyes goes well beyond the surface; it's the decaying compost that sustains the flowers and fruit, the aging and disease that makes youth and fertility so vital, the embarrassing or shameful shit that quite frankly we all produce in our quest to do something meaningful. All of this is part of the beauty of life.

Anyway, I've been wanting to put up some more casual posts, like "look, my garden is growing" (winter in south Florida is good gardening time), and keep getting tripped up on the longer articles I have still in the idea stage.

I need to tell those ideas that the soil is not yet ready for them. They will have to wait for the right season. In the meantime, it is time to get my hands dirty again.
