Here is my jotting from a book I just finished reading WHY GOOD GIRLS REMAIN SINGLE by Nelson Asuen

Firstly what does the writer mean by a good girl?

A good girl is that lady whose schedule in higher institution ranges from class to library to fellowship to market and then her hostel. She doesn't have a boyfriend and is occupied with academic and church activities.

The bad girl on the other hand is the one that has been in series of relationships,dress nice,party,gotten used and probably had an abortion.

What are the advantages the bad girls have over the good girls that leads them to the altar every saturday.

• EXPERIENCE :- The bad girl has been in a lot of relationship,learnt lessons, she knows what men want,how to get to them and how to treat a man right. On the otherside,the good girl knows almost nothing about keeping a relationship and some tips about guys. She makes daily proclamation while she waits for Mr Right.

• SELF IMPROVEMENT :- The bad girl is conscious about her looks and attributes to get the guys knocking. She studies others,read books,has versatile knowledge and always try to improve herself. The bad girl is never a bore and always have contribution for almost all topics. The good girl believes that a good husband is the reward for virginity, she doesn't see any reason to be inquisitive or work so hard on herself. As far as she is concerned, all she need to do is pray.

• PACKAGING :- When you go to a book shop to buy just any book, the books you get to slip through before settling for one are those that the cover or name catch your attention. There are other books that might have better content but you don't notice them because it didn't get your attention. This is not so different with what happens between the good and bad girls. The bad girls know how to package themselves right and that's the first attraction for most guys. The good girls do not pay so much attention to their look and end up unattractive.

• FRIENDZONE :- Good girls are very fund of friend zoning guys,either friend zone or brother zone. They believe that Mr Right is a stranger that will just come and sweep them off their feet one day,so they keep zoning the guys that have interest in them,because they have been friends for long or the guy is a fellowship member. The bad girls know how to read signals and do not take any opportunity for granted.

• EXPOSURE :- The good girls miss the events where the potential husbands are. A bad girl can just decide to stroll around for no reason,they put themselves out there.

• HIGH STANDARD :- Have you ever asked a good girl who her ideal man is? Most good girls keep a very high standard and are optimistic about it. They believe that they deserve the perfect man and of cause God can do it. The bad girl knows the reality of life,she knows that there is no such thing like a perfect man and her standard for men is not rigid.

Those are some of the reasons the good girls remain single while the bad girls keep walking down the aisle. This content doesn't in any way dispute good girls but an eye opener that can make them better.

You don't have to become a bad girl to rule off the advantages bad girls have over good girls,all you need to do is to apply wisdom and play smart . There are principles guiding every aspect of life,so there is a principle guiding relationship and marriage. This principle doesn't care if you are good or bad and it doesnt bend it's rules for any of the party. The bad girls have advantage over the good girls in the principle but the good girls can out shine them if they step up their game and fill in some gaps.
