I found this article on the dot coms this morning. It implies all non-terrestrials are "extra", but it seems that Beings of human and Human Beings, of which there is a distinct difference, are the ones who are most frequently "extra".

There is even an article there on hunting "intelligent aliens", as if intelligent non-terrestrials could possibly be hunted.
