As we are a few minutes away from launching Yensesa to the Ghanaian community, we believe this is the time to say thank you to all the amazing people on Steem and in Ghana who have supported us all this while and keep supporting us.

Don't know what Yensesa is? It is the first exchange service in Africa to allow Steem / SBD to fiat exchange using already existing mobile money technology. Currently starting from Ghana.

Big thank you to:

@richforever @masterroshi @mcsamm @bleepcoin @entrepreneur916 @pnc @ackza @steemgh @hyperfundit @enockagbo1 @boristy @anaman @desmond41 @fredkese @lordjames and all the @accra and @steemitghana community members. We are really grateful.

  • Follow the 3 simple simple steps to do an exchange

What to expect

After 14:00 GMT, Yensesa will be in public beta and available to everyone in Ghana. There are endless uses cases as to what you can do with it, if you are not in Ghana but have family and friends in Ghana.

While we work with the right people to put in place the right regulations for us to operate, we are going to setup a daily limit of how much cedis one can exchange per day on Yensesa. Here is a break down of all the moving parts;

  • We have a system in place to automatically update Steem / SBD prices to make sure that we are offering the best of service at the best price as much as possible.

  • While all other exchanges gives you an exchange rate of USD to GHS for GHS 4.2. With Yensesa you will get an exchange rate of GHS 4.25.

  • You will be able to cash out GHS 80 cedis per day, we will be increasing this limit very very soon.

  • We have a transaction fee of 3% which is charged in Steem / SBD depending on what you are exchanging. This is deduced automatically.

  • Finally a percentage of Yensesa's profit will be going towards empowering the Yensesa Promo Team, @accra , @steemitghana and @steemgh to help spread and promote Steem in Ghana.

Future Plans

  • We will be introducing the Yensesa Basic Income project very soon, which is called Yensesa Power. The aim of this project is to help the new and old Steemians from the African community who joins Steem to be able to make a minimum of $5 upvote per day to help support themselves and their families.

  • We will be expanding Yensesa to Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.

  • We will be launching a Peer to Peer exchange service for African Countries we are not able to reach.

  • We will be launching an affiliate system to grow and reward the community

  • We will be launching Yensesa API to the African community to support business applications and POS services.
