Zapfic. Contest entry for @felt.buzz 240 character short story contest.
This is my entry for @felt.buzz's writing contest.
Zapfic!
Initially a zappl based concept, the contest has outlived the app. I have never used the app, but I have participated in the contest. From what I understand the app required a 240 character limit. Therefore it is a short story contest that works within that constraint. For a waffler like me it is very tricky, this preamble serves as a spot of compensation for that. 😂
Check out the contest here.
I highly recommend his nanowrimo November madness novel too. I have linked the first chapter below. It is sensational.

I must have missed this weeks entry!
I played last week with the “stir” concept.
@girlbeforemirror,
This is actually a very good question.
My conjecture:
In the former, the focus is upon achieving the pleasurable (Figure ... 'Approach' emotion) while accepting the inevitability of pain ... having to pay a price (Ground ... 'Avoidance' emotion).
In the latter, the focus of attention is reversed ... the pain is the Figure and the pleasure the Ground. One might actually be inclined to avoid contemplation ... and perhaps, avoid the pleasures that might trigger it, so as to avoid the consequent contemplation of "loss." Is zero emotion not better than negative emotion?
This is actually the kind of inquiry that Plato and Aristotle (and many other philosophers since) spent long hours contemplating ... and the answer has far greater real life ramifications than do most egghead revelries.
