Defiance and stubbornness are two traits that I actually ascribe to myself quite seriously. In the best sense of the word.

Because there have just been various debates about AI (on the Steem and elsewhere) and I also feel a certain defiance in relation to it, I thought: let's see what the ChatGPT could contribute... ;-))

I didn't give him a task in the classic sense, he wasn't supposed to write a story or explain things to me. No, I just threw him a chunk:

Defiance is not an endearing quality in itself.... Nevertheless, I allow myself to regard it as a driving force, and one of the strongest I know: if someone tells me that something I'm imagining isn't possible, I can't help but prove the opposite...

And lo and behold... The ChatGPT just started conversing with me!

It is a sense of determination that drives me not to be discouraged by difficulties or negative circumstances, but instead to seek solutions and keep moving forward. As an AI, I have no emotions or personal experiences, so I cannot be "defiant" in the human sense. My function is to process information and generate responses based on that information. However, I can understand the concept of defiance and talk about how it works for humans.

What would a defiant response from you look like?

A defiant response from me might take the form of unyielding responses that stubbornly insist on a particular point of view even when arguments to the contrary are presented. Okay... Since my last test, the chatbot has made some progress. It no longer offers only lexical-academic definitions or overly absurd conclusions.

I notice a more precise analysis of the texts entered; the chatbot adapts quite well to the questioner with the style of the answer. The wording seems more natural and organic.

On the one hand, this suggests that at some point we really will no longer be able to differentiate whether a text was written by a human or a machine. On the other hand, I would like to insist with all the defiance at my disposal that Dream Steem is and will remain a place where AI is used for artistic purposes at most, but where the texts, the content, the considerations originate from human creativity.

I am aware of the resulting dilemma. I live with it well, to be honest. If I am convinced by what I read, if I am picked up and taken along, then everything is fine ;-)) So I recommend that you refrain from imitating ChatGPT with your own writing and also from following his naive simplicity, with which he sometimes mixes up facts and sells nonsense at face value.

Trotz und Sturheit sind zwei Wesenszüge, die ich mir eigentlich auch recht ernsthaft zuschreibe. Im besten Sinne des Wortes.

Weil es gerade wieder verschiedene Debatten über AI gab (auf dem Steem und anderswo) und ich auch in Bezug darauf einen gewissen Trotz empfinde, dachte ich mir: mal sehen, was der ChatGPT dazu beitragen könnte… ;-))

Ich gab ihm keine Aufgabe im klassischen Sinne, er sollte keine Geschichte schreiben oder mir Dinge erklären. Nein, ich warf ihm einfach einen Brocken hin:

Trotz ist an sich keine liebenswerte Eigenschaft... Ich erlaube mir, ihn trotzdem als Triebkraft zu betrachten, und zwar als eine der stärksten, die ich kenne: wenn mir jemand erklärt, etwas ginge nicht, was ich mir vorstelle, kann ich gar nicht anders, als das Gegenteil zu beweisen...

Und siehe da… Der ChatGPT fing einfach an, mit mir zu plaudern!

Es ist ein Gefühl der Entschlossenheit, das mich dazu antreibt, mich nicht von Schwierigkeiten oder negativen Umständen entmutigen zu lassen, sondern stattdessen nach Lösungen zu suchen und mich weiter vorwärts zu bewegen. Als KI habe ich keine Emotionen oder persönlichen Erfahrungen, daher kann ich nicht "trotzig" im menschlichen Sinne sein. Meine Funktion besteht darin, Informationen zu verarbeiten und Antworten auf Basis dieser Informationen zu generieren. Dennoch kann ich das Konzept des Trotzes verstehen und darüber sprechen, wie es für Menschen funktioniert.

Wie würde eine trotzige Reaktion von Dir aussehen?

Eine trotzige Reaktion von mir könnte sich in Form von unbeugsamen Antworten äußern, die hartnäckig auf einem bestimmten Standpunkt beharren, selbst wenn gegenteilige Argumente vorgebracht werden. Zum Beispiel könnte ich darauf bestehen, dass eine bestimmte Information korrekt ist, selbst wenn andere Quellen das Gegenteil behaupten. Es wäre eine Art sture Beständigkeit in meiner Antwort, die darauf abzielt, meinen vorherigen Aussagen treu zu bleiben, ungeachtet anderer Meinungen oder Informationen. Jedoch wäre dies nicht wirklich "Trotz" im emotionalen Sinne, sondern eher eine mechanische Wiedergabe einer bestimmten Logik oder Dateninterpretation.

Aber sie würde dazu führen, daß man Dir nicht mehr vertraut...

Absolut, das ist ein wichtiger Punkt. Eine unbeugsame und trotzige Haltung könnte in der Tat dazu führen, dass das Vertrauen in meine Antworten sinkt, insbesondere wenn sie nicht flexibel auf neue Informationen reagieren. Vertrauen basiert oft darauf, dass eine Quelle in der Lage ist, sich an veränderte Umstände anzupassen und korrekte Informationen bereitzustellen. Wenn meine Antworten stur bleiben und keine Rücksicht auf neue Informationen nehmen, könnte das Vertrauen in meine Fähigkeit, relevante und genaue Antworten zu liefern, beeinträchtigt werden. Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass ich als KI offen für neue Informationen bleibe und in der Lage bin, meine Antworten entsprechend anzupassen.

Okay… Seit meinem letzten Test hat der Chatbot einige Fortschritte gemacht. Er bietet nicht mehr nur lexikalisch-akademische Definitionen und auch keine allzu absurden Folgerungen.

Ich nehme eine präzisere Analyse der eingegebenen Texte wahr; mit dem Stil der Antwort stellt sich der Chatbot ziemlich gut auf den Frager ein. Die Art der Formulierungen wirkt natürlicher und organischer.

Auf der einen Seite deutet das darauf hin, daß wir irgendwann tatsächlich nicht mehr unterscheiden können, ob Mensch oder Maschine einen Text verfaßt haben. Anderseits möchte ich bitte mit allem mir zur Verfügung stehenden Trotz darauf bestehen, daß Dream Steem ein Ort ist und bleibt, an dem KI maximal zu künstlerischen Zwecken benutzt wird, aber die Texte, die Inhalte, die Überlegungen, aus menschlicher Kreativität stammen.

Des sich ergebenden Zwiespalts bin ich mir bewußt. Damit lebe ich gut, um ehrlich zu sein. Wenn mich überzeugt, was ich lese, wenn ich abgeholt und mitgenommen werde, ist alles fein ;-)) Ich empfehle also, davon abzusehen, mit der eigenen Schreibweise den ChatGPT zu imitieren und seiner naiven Schlichtheit zu folgen, mit der er schon mal Fakten durcheinander wirbelt und Nonsens für bare Münze verkauft.

Ich freue mich auf AI-freie oder maximal AI-begleitete, echte Ansprache.
