Thediarygame, Sunday (May 5, 2024): The fate of traders and fishermen is increasingly worrying

_{Today I learned many new things from the traders, namely about how they overcome losses into something more meaningful, the point is that there is no loss. I also learned many things from the fishermen, they never give up and continue to work hard even though their fate has not been lucky.}

🙇‍♂️ Not selling does not mean loss

It doesn't feel like it's Sunday again, like on the previous Sunday morning my activity was helping my wife sell cakes in front of the Lhokseumawe City Islamic Center Mosque yard.

I brought a lot of merchandise by renting a rickshaw, after the goods arrived at our stall selling then I helped my wife arrange all the items she needed.

My wife then opened one by one the cake boxes that she would sell, she then added some special cream to the cake, then added several flavors, there were fruit flavors, there were chocolate flavors, and there were also strawberry flavors.

I was given the first opportunity to try to eat the cake, the taste of the cream is delicious like ice cream

Helping my wife with her trading is a boring job, because I just sit there quietly accompanying her until the merchandise runs out. Moreover, my wife is very spoiled, I can't leave her anywhere other than just sitting and accompanying her until she finishes.

Friends who want to try my wife's cakes, don't forget to come here, our location is close to wak lilik's iced tea stall. If my wife's merchandise runs out quickly, I can go home quickly and rest.

The condition of the buyers today can be said to be still quite quiet, unlike the previous day. Some of our merchandise had not been sold out by 12:00 noon. I myself don't know the main reason why people don't come to this place anymore. Could it be because the prices of goods have started to rise recently, making the economy even more unstable?

Likewise with the other traders, many of their culinary snacks have not been sold out, I observed the faces of the traders here that they looked sad, because they had to go home bearing losses. Yes, that is the condition of us culinary business people at this time, there are times when many people come to buy and there are times when it is very quiet.

My wife has a strange principle, she feels there is never such a thing as a loss, why? She said that the snacks that are not sold out we donate to others, donating food to others can be an additional good deed and worth the reward in the eyes of Allah SWT.

I am amazed by my wife's principle, hopefully all the food donations she gives to others can be an additional reward in the afterlife. Amen.

🎏 Fishermen are sad

It was getting late in the afternoon, we and the other traders together dismantled the tent and arranged the goods to be taken home immediately. Arriving home I immediately put the goods in their place, then my wife and I had lunch and performed the zuhur prayer. We felt tired because we were tired of selling, so in the afternoon I took advantage of the time by taking a nap.

In the afternoon, my wife and I relaxed at the seaside, today we saw fishermen catching fish using nets. Many people were curious about the fishermen's catch so they came to see it firsthand.

Unfortunately the fishermen's catch was not very fruitful, they only got small fish and big jellyfish. It really makes them feel disappointed, the fatigue they get has not been able to pay off with a catch that is only a small amount.

Inevitably the fishermen had to collect the small fish and still sell them, they then threw the jellyfish on the beach. Then they reassemble the net and bring the net up to the boat, they don't just give up, they put the net back in the ocean and hope to get a lot of big fish.

It is really hard work for fishermen to get fish, they fight the swift waves in the ocean, the cold wind that pierces the body, the hot sun that burns the skin, tired of pulling the trawl net to the land, sometimes they have to cry because they get very little results.

Not to mention that their catch when sold to the shelter is bought at a relatively cheaper price, but what power they are forced to accept. On the other hand, their children cry for milk and snacks at home. Such is the reality of life that I always hear from some fishermen.

In the evening, my wife and I went to the market to shop for some food needs at home, and today we chose to buy a rather large fresh fish. The price of fish is also quite expensive, reaching 70,000 IDR per kilo.

After shopping for fish, my wife and I bought some other necessities at a subscription store, such as chili, tomato onions, tempeh, potatoes, and flour and some other vegetables. After shopping, we went home and rested.
