The diary game - Unexpected expenses.

My niece phoned me last Thursday and requested to accompany her mother-in-law to Kandy Textile Shop to exchange the two blouses they had purchased for her. I was hesitant to accompany her to dress shopping since she is never satisfied with any design and takes a long time to make a choice. When I answered so, my niece pleaded with me to accompany her because both she and her husband had no time to go. Finally, I agreed with her request and promised to come the next day.

On Friday, early morning after preparing our meals I went to my sister’s house to accompany her to the Kandy Textile shop. We went by bus because her house is within walking distance of the Colombo – Kandy main road.

Fortunately, there was no large crowd because it was a weekday; however, we arrived there a little early, about 10 a.m. First, we handed over our clothes to the exchange counter and received a receipt for the value of them.

We spent almost 4 hours there, looking for suitable blouses for my sister. Do you assume, she rejected every blouse I selected for her, claiming some reason? Later, I gave her the chance to select one for herself, while I chose dresses for myself.

I had no intention of purchasing any clothes, but when I saw an appealing blouse, I couldn't stop myself from purchasing two blouses, both of which have Chinese collars. Suddenly, I came upon a lovely pregnant outfit in pin-apo style, which I purchased for my daughter-in-law. Normally I wear Triumph bras, so I bought one for my use. You may be surprised to hear the price of that bra; it was Joly Fit Rs. 3,450.00. My daughter-in-law's gown cost Rs. 2.095, while my two blouses cost Rs. 3990.00. My total cost is Rs 9535.00. Even though I had no plan to buy any clothes, I had to spend a large sum because my bank card was with me.

Finally, my sister had chosen one blouse, two bras, and a housecoat. Anyhow, the blouse, without a collar, is very beautiful. After four hours or around 2 p.m., we return home after eating our lunch at the same restaurant.
