My Eyeglasses, My Other Half

Eyes are important. It gives color to one's life.

Eyes are the window of our soul. It means that eyes can say what the hearts speaks. You are very fortunate if you have a normal vision of 20 both eyes (20/20). It is one's dream to have or achieve a normal vision.

When I was in a daycare class, I remember, I always wanted to go near on the blackboard whenever I am writing something. Until I became grade 1 my teacher swnt me to the clinic to have my eye check. That was my first time to wear and eyeglasses. My eyeglasses becomes my other half since then.

Now that I am 28 years of age, I have an eye grade of 525/525 it means both eyes are 525 in grade. Whenever I don't have an eyeglasses, my life is lifeless, I can't move or work on to something because all I can see is blur.

Just recently, my eldest Ezra recently broke my eyeglasses. She is very clumsy and always likes to get rid with my eyeglasses. One day she climb to my arms and reach my glasses and it accidentally tore into two. I was shocked and sad. It means that I need to change my eyeglasses. Actually, it is not on my budget list to change my eyeglasses, but I need to insert it.

I temporarily used my newly bought contact lenses. I wore it for 8 hours already. Using it more than 8 hours is not recommended because our eyes needs oxygen. So we went to the eye clinic with my husband and youngest Psalm. I used my savings which ia intended for the essentials of my daughters because I really need to refrain from using contact lenses. My eyes became itchy and turns to reddish.

He is the doctor who checks my eyes. He is also the owner of the clinic. He is also the one who assembles it. She checks my eye grade first then let me choose a style of eyeglasses. I choose the affordable but comfortable one. My eyeglasses is already complete eye vision plus anti-radiation amd transition when under the sun. My total bill is P 3,200 and give me discount so he gave me a bill of P 3,000.00 ( 150 STEEMS).

His clinic is the favorite of the town,aside from affordable bills, he is already a legend in our place. I was thinking, If I am not mistaken, he is the doctor who checked me when I was in grade 3. He has only limited eyeglasses frame this time because of the demand of the customers. But I am not into design, I am after of the lens so I can clearly see.

In the afternoon, at 3:00pm, my eyeglasses is ready to pick up. I am excited heading to his clinic. I am glad I have a new eyeglasses now, without this, my life is empty.

For everyone who has a normal vision, please take care of it. It is not easy to wear eyeglasses and contact lenses everyday. But now, I am so much grateful because I still have life. In the future, If I can affoed to have a laser, maybe I can do it.
