... Sunday morning 🤩

My name is Karin and I currently live in Canada 🇨🇦. Edmonton, the capital city of Alberta, has been my home for the past six years. Today we are having a sunny day with -33 degrees C ❄️. Before Canada, I lived in a small European country Slovenia 🇸🇮. I grew up on the country surrounded by nature, farm animals, and wonderful people.

I am working in chemistry field and I enjoy it quite a bit. It challenges me in many ways and it is the perfect fit for me at this stage of my life.

My blockchain journey began in July 2016 when my dad suggested me to join the Steemit blockchain. He thought it would be a great way for me to learn more about the technologies of the future and at the same time have the ability to get rewarded for my content. I enjoyed being a part of the growing community where I was actively blogging and sharing my photographs. There were times when I wasn’t consistent because blogging does take a lot of time and I was more focused on completing my studies.

When I heard about Appics, I could see myself going back to consistent posting on blockchain as the app was fun and easy to use, and it had a modern look to it. I believe in the vision that Appics team has, to become the next generation social media, and I want to be a part of it!

However, I am not consumed only by the social media (which is unfortunately becoming an escape from reality for many people). I have other things that I like doing. For example, I enjoy reading 📖. I believe that reading on a daily basis is a good habit to have because it frees us from distractions and allows us to have a moment to ourselves.

Photography is another one of my interests 📸. I do not consider myself as a pro and I do not have all the high tech equipment but I do enjoy capturing moments wherever I go.

Another activity I love is singing 🎤. I used to sing in several a capella groups throughout the years. With the current situation in the world where gatherings are not allowed, this is not possible, but my car is proving to be a perfect place for me to sing on my drive to and from work for now.

I am motivated to live through my values and express myself in the way that reflects that 😊. I am always trying to see new opportunities, positive outcomes, and be someone people can rely on.
