The Diary Game | 26th of February, 2024 | Visiting Parents after a while
Hello Everyone!
I hope you are doing well...
It was the 26th of February.
It was the day we planned to visit our parents in Colombo. We didn't have many holidays this time, but my home visits are always fun. I eagerly wait until my husband gets a holiday to visit my parents. This time we started our journey in the morning. It was around 6.00 am when we left home. Driving at this time of the day is a bit challenging task because the roads are too busy.
On the way, I saw a truck carrying two elephants. I asked my husband not to overtake the truck as little Vihan was enjoying the view of these two elephants. It was heartbreaking to notice tears in the elephant's eyes. Most probably it's because they were separated from their herd or home. I'm not sure what it is, but it made me very emotional.
We reached home at about 9.30 am. As usual, Mom had prepared meals for us and It was milk rice. Nothing in this world beats my mom's milk rice and Fish Abulthiyal with the Chili Sambol. It's my favorite breakfast to have. Before having our meals, Mom made an offering to Lord Buddha and then we started to enjoy our meals.
Little Vihan enjoys his time with his grandparents very much. I love going to my parent's home because it is a great opportunity for me to relax and have my own time. My dad had bought some small fish to put it into the tank. Vihan was very excited and waited a while watching the fish swim in the water. Now he is trying to talk little by little, and I sang Mrs. Rachel's fish song for him.
Whenever I'm home I love walking in the garden. Now my mom has a great garden that looks like a small plant nursery. She had grown various kinds of plants. We even plucked some green chilies and a bitter gourd. It felt amazing to get fresh vegetables from our own garden.
From the bitter gourd we plucked we made a delicious meal for dinner. I hated eating bitter gourd when I was a kid; I think growing old made me a less picky eater. Now I eat almost every vegetable because I consider the nutritional value of the food more than the taste.
It was a wonderful day spent with my family and I love the time we spend together with our parents. Hope you enjoyed reading my day.

Thank you for sharing your day with us friend. What a beautiful day you had. If there is one thing I live do much it is traveling. Ofcourse if I saw those elephant too I belt I will cry my eyes out so don't worry we are in this together. Little vihan looks so cute.…..
