The Diary Game ||Thursday, 9th May, 2024|| In search for friends of peace wk2 @ (Ikot-Abia Ntuen)

It's another week to practically do Jehovah's commandments which says "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you". He also added "Don't forsake to meet together so as to encourage one another". How did the search for friends of peace week 2 went? It all started this way....👇🏾

Morning and Afternoon Activities

I was on my bed expecting to hear my cock craw as usual but didn't. So when it was 7am in the morning I was awake by my alarm. I was still feeling sleepy during that hour but i needed to avoid it because of the big task ahead. I walked down to the bathroom, applied my paste and brush my teeth. After brushing, i took my bath at once before preparing for my breakfast.

I was in haste to catch-up with my fellow friends of peace finders, so i made myself afang soup with garri because that would sustain me for many hours. I went to my wardrobe and picked my brown senator as today's outfit. I was ready for today's search, so i boarded a mini bus and headed to the kingdom hall to avoid being late.

After we were instructed on what and how to capture the mind of our listeners, we were paired in two's. An old woman was paired to me as my companion, you may wonder if i was angry with that. No, i wasn't, because I've always wanting to walk with them because of their kind words, encouragement and life experiences.

There's a village in my city called Ikot-Abia Ntuen where people hardly hear of the name Jehovah. So we went in search of friends of peace in that village. It was a great joy when we met this young man who truly love Jehovah and his promises. He listened carefully to what my companion had to say from the word of God, and asked many questions to show that he really wanted to know more about our creator.

He was satisfied with what God helped us to share with him, but yet still he insisted we come back next time for the Bible discussion. My morning, in search for friends of peace was already fulfilled after the successful ministration. We bid farewell to Timothy and continue the search, this time around it was my own turn to preach. I wasn't scared because it's what i love doing, aside that, i came prepared from home.

I met an old man in his hut who's hope is gone according to him. Tears was dropping from his eyes when he told me the kind of sickness he's suffering from and the amount of money he's spent already. It was so sad, but I tried holding my tears. I showed him love and mercy just they way our master (Jesus Christ) did when he was on earth by giving him some money to buy food. After that, i raed (Isaiah 33:24) to console him which says "No residence will say I'm sick". The reaction i saw on his face shows that he was really happy for the hope raed from the Bible.

It was already 12pm in the afternoon while in search for friends of peace, and the heat from the sun was so intensed. I thank God we spotted a mango tree along the road, so we decided to cool our heads under it shades while waiting for others to come out so we move as as team. After waiting for about 20 minutes, the friends of peace finders were out and complete as a team, so we moved down to the last house in the village of Ikot-Abia Ntuen.

From where we met as a team to the last house in that village was about 40 minutes walk, it was really far but we didn't hesitate to go. We met 2 young boys at the site working who developed interest for the truth and promised to worship with us in our kingdom hall so as to acquire more knowledge about the scriptures.

I gave a sigh relieved after embarking on the 40 minutes journey, i was weak at that point so i called it a day with my companion. We departed to our various homes to get some rest and Prepare for the second commandments which is "Don't forsake to meet together so as to encourage one another"

Evening Activities

Midweek Christian meetings starts by 4:00pm in the evening, but i was a bit late because of the deep sleep. I arrived there 4:10pm, the generator was on and the soundcheck was completed. I reported to my office which is the sound system and continued from where my assistant stopped. Our midweek meeting started with an opening song and prayer. I learnt so mamy things from different categories today?

Categories	What i learnt
Treasures from God's word	I Ieant that i shouldn't be upset with evil men because they'll continue to cause harm, but there's hope of peace to reign forever, that'll be under God's kingdom.
Apply yourself to field service	We were showed sample on how we can start a conversation with people when we're in search for friends of peace. I really learnt a lot from those new samples and I'm applying it in week 3.
Living as Christians	It's sad to say that “times of distress” can strike at any time, so we all need to be prepared to face such trials. We were given steps by steps guide via video on how to do that. I was happy for this great teachings and I'm prepared for times of distress.

After the meeting was dismissed with a song and prayer, the brothers and sisters in the congregation exchange greetings and exchanged words of encouragement with one another, exactly the purpose of our midweek and weekend meetings. I spent some time with friends after meeting discussing about the new project that's to be distributed tomorrow (OpenEx). After the discussion we departed as it was getting dark. On my way back home, i bought garri at the shop along our street and headed home. My dinner was served hot , i ate to my satisfaction and drank enough water. I put on my phone and started writing my Diary Game though i was very tired. That was how my day and week 2 in search for friends of peace ended.
