It's good to be back here again. My beloved steemians across the globe, your favorite girl @missyleo is here to participate in this wonderful contest organized by our dear @chant, kudos to you ma'am, you've always done well.

What is your favorite traditional delicacy?

My favorite traditional delicacy is Bitterleaf Soup, bitterleaf soup is very nutritional and medicinal delicacy

Did you prepare it, or order from the restaurant?

I prepared it myself, from the beginning to the very end. Ordering of food is not my thing because I can cook whatsoever food I feel like eating. I don't want to start something I won't be able to finish.

Why do you like this particular meal?

Bitterleaf Soup is a very good food, it is rich in fibre with numerous health benefits, as such as , detoxification and bowel movement.

Anytime I eat bitter leaf soup it helps soften my stool and release my constipation.

Mentioned the ingredients used and step by step process of making this meal?

The ingredients I used in preparing the bitterleaf soup are:

• Fresh bitterleaf

• Waterleaf

• Meat

• Fish

• Periwinkle

• cow skin

• crayfish

• Maggie

• pepper

• Red oil

• Salt

Method of preparing it

Washed the meat and cow skin into the pot, put added pepper, salt and maggie and cooked it for about 10 minutes so that it can get soften. When it was soft, I added my washed fish and periwinkle to boil for 5minutes. Then after I removed the dish from the pot and set aside,so that it will not scatter inside the pot when I will be turning the dish.

As the pot of meat was on fire boiling, I seized that opportunity to slice the waterleaf into tiny pieces, I also washed the fresh bitterleaf very well so that the bitter taste will not be there, and I set them aside.

As the meat was on first I added the sliced waterleaf and stir it well so that it lie well in the pot.

I covered the pot to boil for 2-3mintutes, then I put red oil into the pot, that because I wanted the waterleaf to be still fresh.

After boiling for 2-3mintutes I now pour in the crayfish into the pot and stir it well.

After stirring it together, I now put the washed fresh bitterleaf into the pot turned it very well so that everything will mixed well.

After adding the bitterleaf and turning all together, I then added the fish that I removed from the pot and set aside. Then I store it once again, added another Maggi and salt to taste.

After putting the fish and turning it all together, I cover the pot and allow it simmer for like 2minutes, then I turned of the gas as my soul is ready.

Is there any history behind this particular meal?

Bitterleaf Soup is a traditional Nigerian soup, which was introduced by the igbo community in the Eastern Nigeria. The igbos called it Ofe onugbu because of it unique flavor.

What is the nutritional value of this meal?

• Bitterleaf Soup contains lots of vitamins like, vitamins A, C and E.

• Bitterleaf Soup also have other nutrients like fibre and it's also medicinal.

• Bitterleaf Soup reduce blood sugar and also reduces weight.
