Poetic Film Review: Kiss of the Dragon (2001)

In the world of action and fight,
Jet Li shines with all his might.
Kiss of the Dragon, a tale untold,
Of a cop framed, brave and bold.

Paris streets, a new battleground,
Liu Jian's skills, his foes confound.
Facing bigotry, racism, and deceit,
He fights to clear his name, a thrilling feat.

Bridget Fonda, a streetwalker with a heart,
Joins the fight, playing her part.
But the script falls short, lacking depth,
Characters one-dimensional, losing breath.

Despite the flaws, the action is strong,
Jet Li's prowess, a dance along.
Kiss of the Dragon, a mix of good and bad,
Leaves viewers wanting more, a tad.

A film of potential, yet to be found,
In the heart of Paris, where truths abound.
But in the end, it's Jet Li's skill,
That makes this film, a thrill.
