Steemit may become the immediate past president of the (social networks) being alive club, but I think that the Steem blockchain itself do have a good future because of the good dApps on it. But yes, nowadays Steemit is a dead dApp. Nowadays I (and many other people) do not even use Steemit.
I have been using esteem and steempeak for a while now. The blockchain has been in a rutt but this was the final nail. A hard fork is more than likely but there is no telling if there is any value in it.
Nowadays I also mostly use eSteem. I am writing this comment from eSteem Surfer 2.2.2. Nowadays this is my favorite Steem blockchain dApp, and probably will be for at least a few months, because the existing functions/features are very helpful/useful, for example the post promote and boost with eSteem Points (ESTM), and the current development of the eSteem is in very good direction with many good functions/features.
Same here. Just when I was starting to build up my SP by boosting up my posts this shit happens. It is my hope we can salvage the chain otherwise burn the whole shit to the ground.
