Started my short vacation -01|Chicken Biryani 🍲

Last week, we had a two-week vacation due to the O/L exams. This gave me the opportunity to do many things. I started my vacation last Saturday by visiting Kumari Akka's place. I began my vacation by reading a set of new books. While reading them, I experienced many things, one of which was making biryani for the first time. Today, I want to share how I made biryani myself.

To marinate the chicken, we need the following ingredients:

  • Chicken
  • A piece of glass garlic
  • Green chilies
  • Chili powder
  • Turmeric
  • Biryani masala (I used a biryani paste as I didn't know how to prepare the biryani masala mix properly)
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Butter oil
  • Yoghurt or curd
  • Lime juice

First, finely chop and fry a large onion until golden.
Marinate the chicken. Take a suitable container, add the chicken, crushed ginger-garlic, chopped green chillies, chilli powder, turmeric powder, biryani paste, salt, pepper powder, butter oil or ghee, yoghurt and lime juice. Mix well with the meat. Keep the meat mixture marinated for about an hour.

Prepare the rice with the following ingredients:

  • Basmati rice or keeri samba
  • A piece of cinnamon
  • Cardamom
  • Cloves
  • Bay leaf if available

Boil the rice for a while. Add water to the rice, along with cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves, and boil for about ten minutes.
Cook the meat mixture that was marinated for one hour with the meat and rice. Mix the rice well.

Serve the biryani with chopped carrots, leeks or scallion leaves, sausages, and a boiled and fried egg if desired.
