I will take George Washington as a hero over any other leader we Americans should honor, respect, understand and venerate.

George Washington took an unlucky number of squabbling colonies with two million people, about 95% of whom were complacent sheeple okay with British colonial rule, and took on the greatest power in the world, which had NINE million people plus tens of millions more in other colonies, and recruited the second greatest power, leading the colonials to victory and then establishing the USA as a nation that since then has had the longest continuously operating government (according to Guinness Book of World Records).

The US Constitution, which Washington was encouraged to ignore so he could rule like a king, was adhered to so well that it became the model for over 150 nations.

Can any African, Asian, Latin, Pacific, Muslim, Pacific, or European nation make a similar claim for any of its leaders?

If you don’t respect George Washington enough to leave his statue unmolested by your dirty hands and prion-infected brain, you should be in one of the other 214 countries.
