Street wave. Part 2

in WORLD OF XPILAR16 days ago

In street photography, now I want to go back to spotting and show myself there as aggressively as possible! Every time I'm on the wave of the spotted street, I first take it off as it is, I remember what spotting is, and then I want even more spots.

But I run into the limit of the environment, where there is an insufficient number of elements and objects, or I run into the limit of the possibilities of optics.

To compress the space even more, you need an even longer focus (at the moment I have 400 mm).

But this limit is in the head.

Even more spots can be achieved thanks to planning, although this somewhat contradicts graphic spotting.

Or you need to look for scenes at the usual viewing angle of the lens where there are a lot of people, shadows and objects – and this is the limit of the city.

It feels like I have intermediate walks like a swing, and then I give out the maximum...and that's when I disconnect from the street wave.

...What kind of person am I? All photographers just shoot and just enjoy the process.

No one really aspires anywhere, no one tries to give some kind of maximum.

I also get high from walking, but my thoughts always haunt me on one topic or another.

I'm always trying to figure out how and why something works, why I made this or that frame.

I always need to sort something out, organize or understand the process.

I used to be simple and free, but I was trapped within one or two genres.

Now I'm free in terms of genre, but with that came a huge pile of thoughts.

One more observation: when I'm on the wave of street reporting, I start actively Instagram and watch other photographers.

Recently, I have reviewed a huge number of photos and they all seemed the same to me.

I was looking for something similar to my spotting...but street photographers don't shoot with a telephoto lens, as if everything is clamped within the standard of street photography...

Out of thousands of images, common criteria begin to appear...and when you can describe something, name it, bring it to a common denominator, then it's boring and "like everyone else".
