Voter ID is racist or something. Boris Johnson turned away from polling station because... no ID

There are a couple of people in the world that everyone or almost everyone, immediately recognizes. Taylor Swift, Johnny Depp, Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, LeBron James and many other people are just immediately recognized by most, if not all people who don't live on remote islands under a rock.

Recently, one of these people was turned away from a polling station because he didn't remember to bring his ID.

Love him or hate him, there is a very good chance that you know who the above guy is, even if you can't fully remember his name. Well the ironic thing about him being turned away from a polling station recently is the fact that he was rather instrumental in making this a rule when he was the Prime Minister of the UK.

Obviously the news, especially the leftist news that absolutely hates him, are having a field day and laughing at him for forgetting his own rule. Now perhaps Boris thought that the rule wouldn't apply to him but there is no way to know. I know that I often leave my house without my ID and this was a real problem for me one day when I got pulled over by the police and legitimately didn't have my license with me.

The leftist media including the usual suspects like HuffPo and the Washington Post and well, you know, the usual people, are using this as a reason to bring the supposed falacy of voter ID law to the forefront again.

What the stories aren't really focusing on, because they are far too giddy with glee that someone that introduced voter ID was actually turned away by his own policy, well they aren't focusing on the fact that Boris didn't make a scene about it or try to pull rank, but instead he simply walked back home, retrieved his ID, went back, and voted.

And I think if people stop with the political grandstanding they would also realize that virtually everyone else would be able to do this as well. Maybe it is because I am right of center, but I will never buy into the notion that requiring ID is a racist policy. In fact, when people hit the streets to ask actual minorities (in the USA) if they regularly carry ID or if they had any difficulty obtaining ID it was overwhelmingly determined that they have no difficulty getting photo-ID.

To me it seems rather racist to suggest that minorities are somehow incapable of navigating the system to obtain ID. The implication being that they lack the required intelligence to go through the process. I've heard nonsensical arguments such as minorities not having access to the internet. Seriously? Everyone has access to the internet you jackasses.

This story is dumb and honestly, go head and type "Boris Johnson, no ID" into a search and you will see hundreds of articles pop up almost all of which are leftist rags that are mocking him for being subjected to this sort of rule. In my mind he handled it very well and went through the process to be able to vote which only inconvenienced him a few minutes or so.

I will admit that I intentionally clicked on the Huffpo article because I knew it would be the most absurd and biased and well, they didn't disappoint.
