DRUGWARS ! When it starts being a game once more
When DRUGWARs was launched and it runs off the STEEM blockchain, there was so much hype that everyone wanted to try it out and play it.
Indeed it was fun and addictive and yes I really enjoyed it , however it started becoming annoying seeing that there were so many people botting and abusing the game to the point that finding battles became a chore.
This was all because the economics of this game allowed people to earn STEEM on a daily basis and bots will always find its way into the game.
I remember the earlier days in World Of Warcraft where almost everyone was botting .... this was because people can sell gold for some good ole $$$
Even in games like Clash Of Clans people was using attack bots to farm for gold just to get the upper edge on the game.
So whatever that DRUGWARs is facing is nothing new, however how these problems are resolved will either make or break the game and keep the community interested in playing it.
Today DRUGWARs announced that they would be rolling out new updates which highlights were
- There would no longer be STEEM as daily heist payouts
- Introduction of FUTURE tokens to be paid instead of STEEM - without much information on FUTURE tokens.
I think its a bold move and one that is required. People who plays DRUGWARS purely for "investment" purposes is not wrong however it does really takes the fun out of the entire experience. Its suppose to be a GAME !!
So I do hope that DRUGWARS will be able to enhance the gameplay and make it fun for all types of players. I'm looking forward in more information of this FUTURE tokens and its functions.

Future token might be worthless and this game has been known through Steem and should be paid with Steem.
It is sad but I guess it costs them too much to keep the payouts so high.
Let’s see what happens next but priorities were clan wars not a new token. This is done to try to make a lot of money imo.

well .. they now need to focus back on the meat of things which is the gameplay. Clan Wars would be something to look forward too for sure
Yeah, I kinda feel bad for them... I don't think they ever could have imagined the huge uptick in action when they launched. I think it's really important for new developers to go through a normal project life-cycle... development, internal testing, external testing, closed alpha testing, pilot and then beta. These days, beta really needs to be practically the finished product because when the hype train rolls through, you've got to be ready.... so many products have their spike of users come in, play, and fall away before they ever exit beta.
exactly , they never really did go thru a beta phase as before they even did their first announcement so many of the steemian addicts were already playing. from what i understood their testing phase was only between their own internal team and when they had an influx of users, a lot of other challenges came up.
it was actually good for them to get all the problems early and roll thru it as fast as possible. i'm sure that the devs will keep on improving the gameplay . i'm sure that as long as they keep on trying to improve , the real players will always be there to support

Oh yeah, it’s pretty exciting! Especially if they start launching new games and the token could be used. I just hope it won’t turn into what happened at the my crypto heroes, where in game GUM currency became harder and harder to earn, to the point where it became too boring to play.
GUM currency ? hmmm .. thats something i've not played yet. haha .. i'm actually gonna go check it out
If they are not using steem coin then it is not a steemit games anymore
