Just about every ornament on my tree has a story to it. This one is of Grandma and Grandpa, the center of my universe. They grew up in different times than I did and tried to tie my moral compass to theirs. For that, I thank them. Profusely. They are probably the reason I love Christmas and try to live it all year round. Everything about them was special... and the thing about special is... you usually don't recognize it until it is gone. Because it is always there.
Until it's not.
Christmas-that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance - a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved.

The decoration with grandpa and ma is really cute, also as a gift could be very cute, i like your photos and i am happy to know your blog i did not notice it before in the big sea of steemit but i will follow you.
There is something truly magical about Christmas that links us to the past as well as gives hope for the future. Of course the challenge for me is to live in the now and not always in the future.
My favorite ornaments are the hand made ones. Sometimes I hesitate to put them up for fear of dropping one. They are such a special reminder of Christmases gone by.
