It's Monochrome Monday!!
Your thoughts are the seeds,
You can grow flowers or
You can grow weeds"
Today is #MonochromeMonday initiated by @Old-Guy-Photos! Let's get those monochrome pictures up! Don't forget to drop a link on the old guy's post! It's in the rules his wishlist.
"Cree craw toads foot, geese walk barefoot"
And of course, there must be a flower. Always. I dedicate this flower to #MondayRed #ColorChallenge by @Kalemandra... For this colors my world today.
I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"
"everywhere"
It is important to deal with negative thoughts directly. Often they are based on perceptions that may be flawed or inaccurate. I like to go the Barney Fife route with negative thoughts:
LOL 'Ole Barney always had an opinion he loved sharing. I am wondering what Andy would have done? We all know he was the voice of reason... Or was that Opie?
Perhaps, Aunt Bea???
Thanks for the advice, always. ;)

Those Canadian geese lend well to #monochromemonday, I'd say. Yes, learning to say no to the negative thoughts is a challenge. We are programmed alas to focus on them. Flowers lead us to a better way, for sure. Lovely post, Denise:)
PS ... I followed you on twitter:)
Don't you just love those marching geese? :)
Oh, the negative thoughts don't come often, but, when they do, I mute them after a while, or at least give them a thought or three and move on to a happier place. Of course, that is after the resolving or perhaps putting it away to cook it a little while longer.
Thank you so much, Pryde. For everything. I saw the follow but was in a meeting at the time and couldn't respond. xoxo

From light and shadow comes everything else.
Love, war, peace, death.
From the soil of the garden springs another mother.
We can never truly rest!
Back to the shed, sighs a weary man.
It's time to fill the water can.
Follow the wife while she crawls in the dirt.
Chasing mushrooms petticoat.
Beep boops Thank you for being a supporter of the creativebot. <3
The flower inflont of water is looking very attractive, and b&w photo always have the appeal!

Many people like black and white, and I do, although I have trouble finding pictures that look well in them. So, it is sometimes a challenge, but, it keeps it interesting!
Thanks for the visit!
The second picture is just stunning! Is it a kind of lotus or water lily?
And marching geese made my day )))

Thank you so much. The second picture is a water lily on the water near my house. Hehe! I love the marching geese. They are out in the thousands right now! :)

What a cool selection on Mono shots all so beautiful, Negative thoughts like weeds need to be dealt with quickly or they can grow and take over, I prefer nurturing my positive thoughts nand letting them grow to full potential, much like I know you do :)
all photography is beautiful... 3rd photography, exceptional.
