Wednesday Walk

I would LOVE to see what your neighborhood looks like! What sights do you see if you go out your door on a short 5 minute walk? That is the challenge that @tattoodjay has set for us with his #Wednesdaywalk.

My walk happened on Tuesday, because I heard there were thunderstorms predicted for Wednesday and I much prefer sunny walks! I started out checking on some of the flowers growing on my deck.

geranium

2 different clematis have just started to bloom

And this little spider has done a great job of capturing pollen in her web!

Out along the road the ferns are at their loveliest.

This is about as close as I can get to the river on my scooter. Right now it is in flood stage and there is a NO Wake warning for boats, which both the wildlife and I love!

My elderly neighbor loves working in her yard and when she had a tree cut down recently she kept the stump ( @gillianpearce and @molometer ) and it looks great with this pot of petunias sitting on it.

I couldn't resist a photo of her cute little ceramic mushroom.

And here is my 'don't forget to look up' photo!

Thanks so much for coming along on my walk with me!

What a perfect shot of the spider web and ceramic mushroom 🍄. I love it @melinda010100.

Quite beautiful neighborhood... In my childhood I often so jealous how 4 seasons places have a lot of beautiful flowers.

Lots of great flowers, but then we go 6 months without ANY flowers!

I never thought about that side 😁

Great walk around the area! Fresh air, beautiful nature and a lot of small pleasant things that You have paid our attention. Thanks, @melinda010100

In so glad that you enjoyed it and I am glad I went yesterday...It is cool and rainy today!

I love everything except for the geradium. Sorry :) I cant apreciate that flower, but that's my problem. I love that you habe so much green!

Ha! I thought all flower lovers like geraniums! I do have my share of green this time of year!

No, not me. Those remind me of old times. You know, when I grew up in communism, there was poverty, shortage of everything, people did what they could with what they had. There were no flower shops like now, you barely could get some carnations to go to a birthday or an event. Many times you had to bribe the florist to get something, Not to mention the lack of food. We didn't even know orchids exist or other flowers that we have today. On the other hand geranium was everywhere! Everyone had geranium! They smell so bad and I don't like it when some of the flowers start to dry. I know it's odd but this is how I feel and can't stand them. I had a few, our neighbor lady moved and left me some, I took them to my dad's. He has a lot, he likes them, but he represents another generation. You're probably shocked now :) This is the only flower I can't stand. There are a couple of lowers like lilies that I don't like because of the strong smell, but that's because of my health issues. I love to look at them though :)

I can see why they would be the cause of painful memories. Thank goodness the world has changed for you.

Love the close in shots of the flowers and things looks like a greta time for a walk and thanks again for taking part in Wednesday Walk tip!

Sorry for short reply about to race off a a full day of course

Have a great day, my friend!

Lovely walk and post @melinda010100. So glad you were able to recognise a tree stump for what it truly is. 😂

I love the picture of the geranium. It's a stunning shot! 😊

Thanks my friend!!

That stump is a wonderful example of the genre haha.
