What I want for Christmas: 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS- DAY 9
This is my 9th article in the #twelvedaysofchristmas series initiated by @silverd510 as a Santa’s wish list for stackers.
Like those who joined in on this fun article series, I posted a coin a day [8 so far of 12] that I would love to get as a gift.
The 12 Days of Christmas- DAY 9 and the ninth precious metals piece on my list, is the second US Coin shown in this article.The gold version of this coin is so scarce and coveted. It is also priced way out of my range. But let me show the gold coin here just the same.

Reverse:Depicts an eagle with a shield on its chest holding an olive branch and a cluster of arrows.
Coin Highlights: Issued by the U.S. Mint. 0.8924 fine silver, 0.3575 troy oz weight, 32.5 mm in diameter.
About this coin...
John Reich designed this capped-head concept of Liberty, and it was modified by Chief Engraver of the Mint, William Kneass. It proved to be a popular design and lasted from 1807 to 1839 on the half dollar, 1815 to 1838 on the quarter, 1809 to 1837 on the dime, and 1829 to 1837 on the half dime.[2] All four of these coin were struck in 89.2% silver and 10.8% copper.

Great choice bestie. I had several of those in my time. That price is nuts, especially ungraded. You can get one in AU55 or AU58 for about $800. Love it. Tons of hugs and love 🌹❤️🥰
$800, we can afford saving for the amount over 4 months, and not buying the usual 1/10 oz gold for the stack. But I know that once I have that amount, I’d always chose a 1/2 oz gold bullion over a numismatic coin. I am just practical in many ways. These coins on my Christmas list are gift wishes because I most likely will not get them for myself, 🤣😂😜

It is a beautiful coin with several historic aspects but I am not a lover of circulating coins, with very few exceptions, like the Canadian half-dollars.

I’ll take US silver half Dollars over any other country denomination any time! I love the Commemorative halves, the Seated Liberty halves, the Barber Halves, my favorite Walking Liberty halves, the Benjamin Franklins, the JFKennedy Halves... and I will take them even in circulated silver coins. I stack US Constitutional silver for fractionals and the ASE for full ounce silver coins.
But then, you are a collector, my dearest friend @ronaldoavelino! Whereas My hobby is converting fiat into precious metals as a temporary store of wealth... Hehehe.... and there lies the difference.
I love your collection @ronaldoavelino. Each coin in your collection can be on my Christmas List!
