The Challenge

12 days ago, I announced the start of the 🌺 SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge for August. 12 days... time flies!

My own garden is starting to fall apart. Although meteorological fall hasn't started yet, the weather has changed and I'm even thinking about bringing my Black Sapote plant inside... The nights are getting too cold for the tropical baby-plant to stay in the greenhouse.

14 entries were submitted this month. The challenge is still going strong. All participants received a share of the Steem-Bounty and a 100% upvote from me.
(@bengy, I still owe you that 100% upvote - Steempeak didn't allow me to change my vote. Both you and @riverflows have received your share of the Steem-Bounty in your wallet just now - I didn't catch your entries in time.)

As always, I loved reading all those garden journals and seeing all those pictures. All made me smile from ear to ear. 😊 🌱

Once again, I had the pleasure to read some updates written by recurring contestants, and have met a couple of new people and their gardens at the same time.

A big thanks to everyone who participated this time and showed us their August update.
@bengy, @riverflows, @erikah, @abitcoinskeptic, @nelinoeva, @enjar, @amberyooper, @sifondeseltz, @briarch, , @porters, @fmbs25, @gingbabida, @plantstoplanks and @minismallholding. It is because of you that I can keep this contest alive.

I really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts. Again, the entries were of different varieties: we could see summer gardens, winter gardens, indoor gardens... I could simply feel the enthusiasm and the love for greenery. Once again, I fell in love with everyone’s story...

I'm sorry I failed to leave you all a decent comment, but life has been hectic. I assure you I did read every single post and enjoyed it to the fullest.

If you love your garden - no matter how big or how small it is - I probably won’t have to tell you that you are all winners.

If you’re a bit like me you know how easy instant happiness can be: a flower that blooms, a delicious, homegrown fruit to pick, finding a ladybug walking around... They don’t come any better than that, right?!
