This is a post for Market Friday hosted by the lovely @dswigle, if you are not following her you sure should be she is one of the sweetest and kindest persons here on Steemit.
for this week's post I will share some of the options for food around the streets of NYC'

Starting off with this vendor selling Avacado Toast somehting I had not heard of till I saw this vendor and I have yet to try it but it does sound interesting.

And here is another one like many of the street vendors seeling food it is very colorful and eye catching and this one sells a variety of things including Gyros burgers hot dogs etc etc.
Now as you may guess these are not permanent, you can see the trailer hitch at the front of this one, as I arrive in the city in the morning I often see them drivign around the city to the spot they will be parked at and sellign their food during the day, some always in the same spot others that choice a different spot around the city.
I guess they need a permit to park and sell their products so not sure how that works for the ones that move to different spots each day.

Now most of these places I haven't eaten from, but I did try a smoothie from this vendor the morning I took this shot, if I remember right it had banana Orange and pineapple and some veges and was actually really nice and I ended up not grabbing my usual breakfast that morning as it filled me up

But if you wanted somehting more substantial from breakfast there are many vendors selling the more convential breakfast sandwiches or bagels such as this one

And another shot of it from another angle, showing that they oi better business than my photos may imply, I try and get shots of them without people in line mostly but these vendors do real good business at peak times I often you will bee a good line of people queued up to buy something to eat from them.

Avocado toast is awesome. If you like avocados you should really try it sometime. I know some people don't care for them, but I think they are fantastic. There is something about the buttery goodness of an avocado that just goes really well with the toast. I am sure they get all fancy with theirs too taking it to the next level. I love me a good Gyro, I had one just the other weekend actually. Not from a street vendor though :)
To be honest I cannot remember the last time or if I have ever tried Avcado which quite surprise me as I am generally always willing to try anything at least once
I will have to try this Avacado place sometime, I used to eat from Street Vendors all the time, now its an occassionaly thing but most of them do a pretty good job here inthe city I must say
I can imagine there are some pretty strict restrictions just given the nature of the environment they work in.
I have noticed Health Department certifications ona couple so I guess they have to meet certain standards to stay in business, not like the street vendors I have seen and tried in some countries I have been to

It seems that wya I cant be cool I have never tried it I may one day if I ever see this truck again

Good I went healthy today to try and loose some of the weight i put on over the holidays
Those are some cool vendors Jay. It amazes me that they can do so much in such small quarters. The Avocado toast sounds interesting to me too. My nephew has a food truck and I know how hard it is to do that type of job. I give them credit for being passionate about their business.
Ohh yes it is sure not a job I would want, I often see them inthe city early preparing food for the rush and they crowds can get so big its full speed ahead for them
I havent tried the avacado toast but i plan to one day if I can just find it again LOL
They do work a lot behind the scenes prepping for each day. Fast and furious when it is lunch or dinner crowd.
Ohh yes I am sure they do, some people think its easy but I know how long it takes me to prepare a meal just for me and my wife let alone multiplying that by hundreds LOL
I believe these guys make a pretty good living.
From what I have sene they sure do I see some big lines queued up at some of these, but they also work there butts of to prepare and serve allthe food its not a jobI would want

Oh, they are so colouful and attractive. I could not resist but to try that avocado toast. I have never hesrd about it too, biut sounds interesting.
I plan to try it one day I just need to remember where i saw it LOL

What a coincidence that is I must try it one day I have to admit I am very curious to find out what it is like
It really is one of my favorite breakfasts, but I do usually eat it at home since I am kind of a purist. Just some good toasted bread, maybe a little hummus and then avocado. There are some restaurants around here that pile their toast so high you need a fork and knife to eat it! It is interesting to see some of the combinations, though. :)
I think if I ever tried it I would go for a fairly plain one to appreciate the actual taste of the toast and not over power it with toppings
