This is a post for MonochromeMonday - initiated by @old-guy-photos
This is a shot in lower Manhattan and I liked how from this angle Trinity Church looks like it is wedged pretty tightly between the newer buildings,
Of course if you have even been by the church it has its own space and isn't cramped in at all but from this angle it sure looks like that.

This shot made me thing of the pressure often put on people whether it is peer pressure, family pressure, financial pressure etc etc, we all at times feel the pressure society may put on us.

Its natural at times that we feel pressure to do certain things, people may try to give its advise to do certain things because they feel that is what is bets for us, and I don’t think thta is necessarily a bad thing, doing somehting that we feel is not right for us but we feel we have to do it because it’s the norm or what is expected may however not be the right thing.

Do you feel under pressure to do certain things at times?

I myself especially nowadays where age and perhaps common sense are kicking in do listen to the advise I may hear from people or see online but I am now strong enough in myself to choice what I feel is best for me and those around me and make my own path based on my own thoughts and decisions, and I generally feel since I have been able to do that I feel a lot more happier within myself.

And of course this post is just about how I have decided to listen to what may be peer pressure but not feel forced to follow it, and what works for me, not any advise for others as thats a very individual decision one has to make for themselves.

Change in posting frequency for me

This may be a good point that I have decided to change my posting routine from 3 posts a day down to two a day, Primarily because I was finding it hard to keep up with preparing photos and posts to keep up this frequency, but not from peer pressure, but I did appreciate peoples thoughts and feedback on this in yesterdays post.

And the title for this post came from the Queen song which I love

Happy Monday everyone and have a great week ahead

I think I like this pic because of the interesting juxtaposition between the old and the new. :-)

That is what caught my eye from
This angle the contrasts really stood out

I really respect you 3 posts a day is tough. My goal is at least one post a day, I can't I always achieve that and if I do more great.

Queen is missed good song for this post. You know I love your photography @tattoodjay

I am currently taking 2 photography classes and love it!!!
I have always taken photos but to invest in equipment and how to use it not to mention being around others has really opened my mind.

So where do you see this going?

I have to tell you most people will recognize this as a standard comment your are pasting on multiple posts

Be careful this could be seen as spam and get you Downvoted

I love queen either :)) great post and it is under pressure :)

Queen were so innovative and ahead of there time

Thanks 😎

The church does look squeezed in. It can be a lot to keep up with your own posts and those you follow so best to do what you feel best about and if it's posting less yourself than so be it. You arrived at the decision on your own and not because you got squished between two big buildings. :)

Yes I can say there was no wish feelings involved in my decision and for this week it is more of a test to see how it goes, maybe I will go back to three posts a day after that or maybe even go down to one who knows I sure dont as yet lOL

Enjoying the morning music. Sometimes I have to just pull away myself. Really a cool shot of the church. As i enlarged and zoomed in, it never got fuzzy. How do you do that? The stone work is beautiful.

Thanks

I must go back and get some shots of the church itself as it is such a beautiful church but awkward to get a good shot of unless I remember to have a wider angle lens with me

I posted a larger size file so it could =zoom in better, and this is one area where a good camera is better than a cell phone

Tip!

Good photo, I am a photographer, it passes for my blog and sees my content, I hope that it should be of your taste, you have my vote :D greetings

That's a very clever shot. Does indeed look like the church is squeezed between the buildings . . . until you look at the windows in the skyscraper. Then your eye is able to follow down the building and put the Church behind it. Mind you, I bet there's more space in front of it that it looks like there is in the photo. Excellent shot!

Glad to hear you're taking the pressure off yourself and moving to post twice a day. Better to do that and be able to keep posting, than burn out and not post at all.

I think I've also grown out of peer pressure. The most pressure I feel now is from myself and that's more than enough for anyone at times! 😊

Yes you saw it well the Churchch is actually in its own little square and has lots of space I must get to that Sid eof the city and get some shots of it soon

I to feel the most pressure eon me is in my own head these days but thats pressure I like dealing with i like challenging myself :)
