Minnowhood! With The Help Of TenKMinnows!

Minnowhood! Finally!

After one year and a few months, I'm a minnow, 500SP powered up. It took a while, mainly because I took a 6 months vacations from Steem to learn some trading and to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, but after getting back I hustled my way to 500SP pretty fast, and I am just beginning!

I started this journey a dumb kid with hopes and dreams of being worth a fortune on STEEM, of hopes and dreams of being able to live off of STEEM... Well, the dream is more or less still there, and I'm still a dumb kid, the more I grow the more I realize that I still have much more to grow, but along the way, I gained something much better than this dream...I gained friends, a community, a place to tell my ideas, a place to know other crypto enthusiasts, a place that I can call my second home.

People shouldn't focus on the goal, people should focus on the journey because it's the best part of the whole process. When one reaches the goal the journey ends, there is no more fun, no more places to visit, no more people to know, it's the end...

How important is it to have 500SP? Well, it's important, but even more important for the progression on STEEM is the social connections that one makes along the way... I see countless people with 10k and 50k SP that don't get as many comments as I get, and some don't even get the number of upvotes that I get, why do you think this is? Well, it's because connecting with the community is just as important as having power! If not more important...

This is a community, go to google and search the definition of community... You don't want to open a new tab, well let me copy paste the meaning of community from the Cambridge dictionary:

"the people living in one particular area or people who are considered as a unit because of their common interests, social group, or nationality:"

or

"a group of animals or plants that live or grow together"

You see, this is what we are, a unit of common interests, a social group, we grow together, we live together, we talk... And this is why I love Steem...

Yes, if you have enough money you can buy your way to big payouts and to big SP with self upvoting, but, sooner or later, you will hit a roadblock of development. However, through connecting, sharing, being part of the community you can grow much much faster without any roadblocks. We are stronger together! Just like that old story with the sticks...One stick is weak by himself, but a bundle of sticks can't be broken.

And this is what happened the last couple of weeks, a bunch of sticks some thicker than others, decided to bundle up, and in the mix of the bundle put some small sticks and allow them to grow, one of those small sticks was me.

You guys know who I am talking about right? Yup, this bundle is called...

The Tenkminnows project!

A project to incentivize red fishes with good content to power up and to stay on STEEM, a project to grow the number of minnows on the blockchain to 10k! And I was one of the first ones that they helped.

Straight away I got a couple of big upvotes, I got many more followers and I got a bunch of SBI shares(around 24 SBI shares that I was able to count). I was really happy to get the amount of help that I got. This is the community that I want to be part of. Thank you!

I won't forget everyone that helped me get to this stage, and I hope that someday I'm able to help you guys just as much as you guys helped me. Let's grow on Steem and with Steem!
