#SEPIACATURDAY!

(And there was much rejoicing)

Unfortunately - for me - my cats today were full of cattitude and being particularly catty and simply not letting me take any photos of them. Luckily - for all of you - I happen to have a host of cat pictures in my archive, several of which lend themselves very well to sepia.

So, without further adieu, I present to you, #sepiacaturday.

This is Bella. I refer to her as "Favourite Cat" because she is, indeed, my favourite cat. I nursed her back to health from near-certain death twice, and we bonded during that time. Now she's just awesome. And very pretty.

This was Bella as an infant. Look at the size of those eyes! This was right before she got an ear infection so bad she couldn't stand up without falling over. Poor girl. Obviously she's better now, so all is good. Between this and the feline infection that occurred immediately afterward, it took me 10 months to pay the vet bills, but I really don't care.

And here is Bella doing what she does best; being really, really cute.

Trinket

Gabby

Gabby is my oldest son's cat. She was there for him in his darkest days when we were trying to work through the worst of his depression. Whenever he was at a low, she was there in his lap. Like Bella, she had gotten really, really ill a few years ago and needed emergency surgery. No, it wasn't cheap and, no, I don't care. Not only would losing her have devastated my son, she's a living creature under my care.

Midnight

And finally, Midnight. Still a kitten. Found under a dumpster at the mall. Now ours. My little house panther. Likes to attack the dog from behind, then flee when the dog gets upset.
