Movie Review: Chak De India- An awesome Sport film
Few movies are made once in a decade and this is that type of film which I am going to review in this post.
Chak De! India is one of the wonderful movies of Shahrukh khan and even after its 12 years the story is so fresh. I don't remember how many times I have watched this film but every time I enjoy it and it feels like I am watching it for the first time. Chak De is a Punjabi word and it means to go for it India.
Star Cast
Shahrukh Khan played the role of Kabir Khan in the film and he is a coach.

There are many characters in the film but I mention here the main roles of the film.
Film Story
This film starts with a scene when Kabir Khan has taken a penalty stroke during the Hockey World Cup match between Indian and Pakistan. Kabir Khan misses the shot and because of that India loses the match. Media blame Kabir Khan for this defeat and because of such a wrong allegation, he has to leave his house along with his mother. After 7 years, there are women hockey team is formed and Kabir khan wants to coach them. After a discussion with India's hockey association head and finally, they agreed to select Kabir Khan as Coach for the Indian women's hockey team.
Kabir khan selects a hockey women team of 16 players and starts coaching them but its not going the way he wants. All the players are not in sync and because of that, they don't support each other. Coach Kabir Khan understands that this team can not win unless they come over with their differences and become one team. Even a few players refused to follow his commands so he resigns from this position and on his last day he invited everyone for a farewell lunch. During this lunch, there was a fight between girls and a few local boys. Kabir Khan was silently watching this fight then he realized that now this team is one and he cancels his resignation and starts training girls from the next day.
Kabir wants the women hockey team to go far International match but the association head does not agree for this and later they allowed to have a test match between boys and girl's hockey team. Women team lose the match but they played well so they get the approval to go for an international match in Australia. The women team goes to Australia and win the match but watching it is great fun so to know that I suggest watching the film.
Music and Songs
Music in this film is given by Salim-Sulaiman and they are known to give nice music. There are many songs in the film but the title song is blockbuster and such a nice song that I still enjoy this.
This movie's direction is done by Shimit Amin and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yashraj Films.

This film was released on 10 Aug 2007 and its time duration is 153 minutes. The cost of the movie is INR 200 million and total box office collection was INR 1.27 billion.
