Cvetkov's Steam Mills in Syzran

At the beginning of the last century a large number of steam mills were built in the Volga region. We built them qualitatively, from good materials, for centuries. Projects of the mills were very similar to each other, buildings - from four to six floors, thick brick walls, concrete floors. One of these mills is in the city of Syzran, and even is a monument of architecture, despite its sad state.

The architectural ensemble called "The Rolled Steam Mill Tsvetkova" was built in 1910. It was a complex of three rectangular, adjoining to each other bodies of different heights, forming together the U-shaped composition. Now only the main four-story building and part of the two-story building have been preserved

When the production of flour in these walls ceased - it is unknown. Maybe after the revolution, and possibly in the post-war years. But the next owner of the building was the garment factory "Wave". It was located in a former mill until the middle of the 2000s, when the company managed to sell the building to a private buyer. Despite the status of the architectural monument, the new owner still managed to demolish several buildings.

In order to preserve the Tsvetkov mill, a plan of measures with deadlines was approved: In 2011, they were to develop a conservation project and conduct work, in 2012 - order a comprehensive engineering survey of the facility with the development of recommendations, in 2013 - a restoration project. Accordingly, from 2013 to 2015 within the framework of the restoration it was necessary to carry out the work. It was required to hand over the work to the State Agency in 3 months from the date of implementation.
