The knot eye (not I?). The eye that is not? The eye that is tricked by optical illusions? Or the eye that is tangled with the hidden furrows that cannot be seen but from the outsider’s perspective?

We trust our eyesight so much. We want to think that if we see it, it exists (seeing is believing), and yet so much exists that we can’t see with our eyes and so much we see (or so we think) does not exist (at least not the way we think).

And yet, it is in those clear and distorted visions that we envision worlds with no ends, the “twists that fathom themselves”.
