SURFACES" - ABSTRACT PHOTOGRAPHY & DIGITAL TRANSFORMATIONS
This is more or less what ends up happening when, during one of my morning walks taking photos in the streets of my town, I find myself staring at the metal posts that support the perimeter fence of one of our neglected sports complexes. There, on those posts, people write things, use them to keep score of a game or the laps they jog for exercise, or simply time and the elements peel away the paint, creating interesting shapes with the rust. Whatever happens on the surface of those posts, I observe it closely and find it fascinating. And it all depends on good light, allowing clarity without annoying reflections, and obviously, on it being one of those days when my imagination is running wilder than usual, which, fortunately, happens quite often...
