GAJAH MATI ACEH TIMUR
Petugas Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) Aceh melihat gajah sumatra (Elephas maximus sumatrensis) yang mati di kawasan perkebunan warga di Desa Cek Mbon, Peureulak, Aceh Timur, Aceh, Kamis (10/8). Kematian gajah jantan berusia 14-15 tahun tersebut diduga akibat terkena sengatan listrik bertegangan tinggi. Berdasarkan data BKSDA Aceh tercatat sejak awal tahun 2000 hingga Agustus 2018 sebanyak 58 ekor gajah sumatra mati akibat konflik dengan manusia. ANTARA FOTO/Cek Mad/Syf/kye/18.
