This update represents a compilation of the recent news, updates and projections about our Actifit project, including top actifitters for the preceding voting cycle, as well as updates on our account and delegations !

Social Media Focus

Although our Social Media presence had been quite shy for the last few months, yet as highlighted in our prior weekly update, we are starting to increase our focus on such channels, with the aim to grow and expand the Actifit brand name and awareness.

We believe this has the potential to create a buzz about Actifit and the whole Steem BC. For those purposes, we took Social Media focus to the next level:

• We worked on improving our brand image and updating some outdated info regarding Actifit, including images and text
• We are modifying the perception of Actifit and the message it relays, from a "Fitness guru" focused app, to everyone's app, as at its core, Actifit aims to incentivize and help anyone maintain a healthier lifestyle, by simply being active via day to day activity, or actual fitness activity if they so choose.
• Our very own @katerinaramm created a dazzling December calendar, the effects of which are are starting to see with increased engagement on social media.
• You can help Actifit get to a wider audience on social media, via liking/sharing/retweeting its pages/activities across. Here are quick links to our accounts
  
• And finally, we added a new channel to our discord labeled #social-media-awesomeoness. We are looking to reward daily anyone who does an amazing job on social media to promote Actifit. Once you have a post on social media that gathered attention, please make sure to post a link/screenshot to it in there, and if we deem it valid for reward you will be rewarded with up to 100 AFIT tokens!

AFIT Tokens. STEEM Payouts Sent

In terms of our AFIT payments, another fantastic week passes by whereby our different actifitters and delegators are piling up more rewards. To date, Actifit has distributed so far 15.6 Million AFIT tokens, to 32K+ token holders and 32K+ reported activity.

We also sent out today our weekly STEEM delegators share, which went out to 375 delegators, with a total amount of 100.244 STEEM. (Effectively no SBD pay, as due to low STEEM price SBD portion of the reward is zeroed)

P.S.: STEEM amount includes both SP and STEEM rewards for delegators, whereby each delegators receives liquid STEEM as a total for both amounts.

Witness Status

Steemit Inc Updates

Although we have not yet commented on Ned's announcement regarding the layoff of 70% of Steemit Inc's team, and all the potential effects of such action, including delays in SMT delivery as well as all relevant discussions about full nodes cost..

As Actifit team, we have a firm belief in Steem BC, and are supportive of all positive responses by the community and witnesses who are promoting a further decentralized Steem. We stand by all actions that help grow Steem into an even more robust and reliable BC.

We are studying from our side ways we can employ to reach such a target, including having our own full node (mostly private .. and cost permitting), and other potential optimization alternatives we can help with through our role here.

Under a relevant title, Steemit inc announced some upcoming changes to the API which will take effect in around 4 days from now. We are performing our own testing to ensure this works out properly, as it has a major effect on our and other dapps out there.

Witness Survey

We have seen a cool initiative by @witnesssurvey / @patrickulrich aiming at getting some feedback from witnesses in response to questions by the community. We believe it is the absolute right of the commuity to inquire its representatives. Although the format is a bit basic and can definitely be improved, we plan to provide answers to this survey in the coming few days.

A kind reminder to all actifitters: some versions of esteem app still cause issues when used to edit your reports, via removing essential info Actifit uses to identify proper reports. This prevents related reports from receiving rewards.
Until this issue is officially fixed via the esteem team, we advise that you use other Steem interfaces for editing, including our own actifit.io, steemit, busy or others.

Doubled UP Rewarded Actifitter!

Today we had another round of the Random Double Up Reward, and the winner is @rijalaronaceh. Congrats!
@rijalaronaceh voting ranking was 187. Randomly chosen by the script, this doubled up the token reward to 51 AFIT tokens, and the Actifit STEEM upvote to 5.88%.

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in User Rank.

Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and other factors highlighted before.

Add to that, and a key important item that will benefit Actifit by receiving more delegation, is the ability to claim and create more user accounts. At the moment, Actifit is claiming around 10 account spots per day. Although this is a good start, yet the number is still small compared to the potential that Actifit has to bring in masses. Simply another reason to delegate to Actifit!

Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.

Since many ask, here we describe again an easy way to calculate your AFIT tokens for a full day of delegations:
(Your Delegated SP) * 100,000 AFIT MAX / (Actifit Account Delegated SP - without account own SP and any delegators who opted out).
So for instance if you had delegated 100 SP, your daily earnings would be around:
100 * 100,000 / 223,000 = 44.84 AFITs

We are appreciative of more delegations to be able to better award actifitters and support our project, so thank you for doing that !

When you are looking to increase your delegation, you need to use the new total amount as the delegation amount, and not only the increased amount. Otherwise only the new amount will be used, and the remaining amount will be undelegated.
