Ulog and Actifit Report Card: February 12 2019: Science, USB Sticks, and a Spelling Bee
First of all, happy Darwin Day! I went to go see Aron Ra this weekend for his talk on evolution and his online phylogeny project.
It was very informative and rather entertaining. He's recently uploaded it to YouTube, and you can check it out here (about 45 minutes).
Catching up to today, I walked around the hangar a bit fixing some issues. But mostly I was at my desk working on things. One such task was to burn some flash drives. I use a tool called Rufus to burn the image file to the drive. But I left early so I could hurry home because today...
Aedan's District-level Spelling Bee!
He placed third again at this competition. Just to reiterate, he's in third grade, placed third for good grade level, then placed third for his entire school. This time was a little different though. It was elementary and middle school combined. With him there were 3 fourth graders, 1 fifth, 1 sixth, 2 seventh, and 1 eighth grader. And he placed third. That was awesome.
After we got home, we gave him a Lego set as a reward for doing such a good job.
What a great day.
